What Is Driving PMP Demand in the Netherlands

    Energy Transition Delivery Gap

Dutch offshore wind, hydrogen and grid programmes are scaling fast, but many organisations lack enough project managers who can plan, govern and control delivery at that scale.

PMP builds planning and risk-control skills

    Semiconductor Scale-Up Pressure

High-tech expansion around Brainport Eindhoven demands disciplined delivery across complex, fast-moving projects, exactly the capability the PMP validates.

    PMP builds delivery-at-scale capability

    Strategy-Execution Disconnect

Banks and fintechs fund large digital-transformation projects, but weak links between strategy and execution cause value leakage that certified project managers are hired to fix.

    PMP builds value-delivery skills

    Infrastructure and Water Complexity

The Netherlands' infrastructure and water-management megaprojects require rigorous scheduling, risk aggregation and stakeholder coordination across many parties.

PMP builds governance and coordination skills

    Certified Talent Shortage

With unemployment below 4%, employers compete hard for delivery talent. A globally recognised PMP helps holders stand out in a tight Dutch market.

PMP makes certified managers stand out

    Hybrid Delivery Demand

Dutch organisations increasingly blend predictive and agile methods. The current PMP, aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition, covers both in depth.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMP exam?

The PMP is a closed-book exam with 180 questions delivered over 230 minutes, including two 10-minute breaks. It uses multiple-choice, multiple-response, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank questions, based on the PMP Examination Content Outline and the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition.

How many questions are on the PMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 180 questions and lasts 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes), including two scheduled 10-minute breaks. The questions are scenario-based, testing how you apply project management principles rather than pure recall.

What are the PMP exam domains?

The updated exam aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition covers five domains: Project Management Fundamentals (15%), Predictive Methodologies (28%), Agile Frameworks (27%), Business Analysis and Strategic Management (18%), and Stakeholder Engagement and Communication (12%).

What is the passing score for the PMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. Your result is set through psychometric analysis and reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all domains.

How many attempts do I get and can I retake the exam?

You get up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility window from application approval. A re-examination fee applies to the second and third attempts. Confirm the current amounts on pmi.org before you rebook.

Where can I take the PMP exam in the Netherlands?

You can sit the exam at a Pearson VUE test centre in the Netherlands or online from home or office through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the PMP training?

The training covers the full PMP content: project management fundamentals, predictive and plan-based delivery, agile and hybrid frameworks, business analysis and value delivery, and stakeholder engagement and communication, plus exam strategy and application guidance.

Does the PMP course cover agile?

Yes. Roughly half the exam reflects agile or hybrid approaches, and the updated exam includes a dedicated agile frameworks domain. The training covers Scrum, Kanban, Lean and hybrid delivery alongside predictive methods.

Which edition is the PMP course based on?

The course is aligned to PMI's PMP Examination Content Outline and the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition, the current reference standard for the exam. Your courseware reflects the latest domain structure and content.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes extensive practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator and topic-wise quizzes so you can identify weak areas and build exam-day readiness.

Will I earn the 35 contact hours I need to apply?

Yes. The training provides 35 contact hours of project management education, satisfying that part of the PMP eligibility requirement. You also need the required months of project leadership experience to apply.

    Enrollment

What are the eligibility requirements to enrol in PMP training?

Anyone can enrol in the training. To sit the PMP exam, PMI requires either a four-year degree with 36 months of leading projects, or a secondary diploma with 60 months, plus 35 contact hours of project management education in both cases.

How do I enrol in the PMP course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. A learning advisor can help you pick the right batch.

    What training formats are available?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom training, and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style across the Netherlands.

How soon can I start PMP training in the Netherlands?

New live virtual and corporate batches run regularly, so you can usually start within a few weeks. See upcoming schedules or talk to a learning advisor to confirm the next available cohort.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrolment?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans let you attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange this.
