It is designed for experienced project managers, team leads and delivery professionals who want to prove their competence and advance their careers.

    Is the PMP worth it for project managers in Amsterdam?

    Yes. Certified project managers in Western Europe report a 20 to 28 per cent salary premium, and Amsterdam's technology, fintech, banking and consulting employers actively seek PMP holders. It is one of the strongest returns you can earn on a project credential in the Netherlands.

    What are the eligibility requirements for the PMP?

    There are two paths. With a four-year degree you need 36 months leading projects plus 35 contact hours of project management education. With a secondary school qualification you need 60 months leading projects plus the same 35 contact hours, which our training provides.

    Which standard and edition is the PMP based on?

    The PMP is governed by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and built around the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the current PMP Examination Content Outline (ECO). Our courseware is aligned to the 8th edition so you study exactly what PMI tests today.

    How long is the PMP certification valid?

    The PMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year continuing certification requirements cycle.

    Is the PMP recognised in the Netherlands?

    Yes. The PMP is recognised in over 200 countries and is widely valued by Dutch and multinational employers, including the many organisations that run their EMEA delivery from the Amsterdam Area. It is a portable credential that travels across sectors and borders.

    How much does PMP training cost in Amsterdam?

    Instructor-led PMP training fees vary by format and schedule, and cover courseware, practice questions, mock exams and learner support. The PMI exam fee is billed separately. Request a quote or speak with a learning advisor for current Amsterdam pricing.

    What is included in the PMP course fee?

    The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, 35 contact hours, practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator, downloadable templates, application guidance and a course completion certificate. The PMI exam fee is not included.

    Is the PMP exam fee included in the training price?

    No. PMI bills the exam fee separately in USD, for reference around USD 405 for members and USD 555 for non-members. PMI membership, around USD 139 per year, lowers the exam fee and gives free access to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition. Confirm current fees at pmi.org.

    Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

    What is the format of the PMP exam?

    The PMP is a closed-book exam of 180 questions using multiple formats, including multiple choice, multiple response, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank. Questions are scenario-based and drawn from the current PMP Examination Content Outline.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 180 questions and lasts 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes), including two scheduled 10-minute breaks. Time management is an important part of exam preparation, which our mock exams help you practise.

    What are the PMP exam domains?

    The current exam, aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition, covers five performance domains: Project Management Fundamentals, Predictive Methodologies, Agile Frameworks, Business Analysis and Strategic Management, and Stakeholder Engagement and Communication.

    What is the passing score for the PMP exam?

    PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. Your result is determined through psychometric analysis, and performance is reported by domain as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all domains.

    How many attempts do I get, and where can I sit the exam?

    You may take the exam up to three times within your one-year eligibility period. You can sit it at a Pearson VUE test centre in the Netherlands or online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring from home or the office.

    Course Content

    What topics does the PMP training cover?

    The training covers all five performance domains of the current PMP ECO, from project fundamentals and predictive methods to agile frameworks, business analysis and stakeholder engagement, plus exam strategy and PMI application guidance.

    Can a beginner take this course, or do I need experience?

    Anyone can attend the training to build skills and earn the 35 contact hours. To sit the PMP exam, PMI requires project leadership experience, either 36 months with a four-year degree or 60 months with a secondary qualification. Our advisors can confirm your eligibility.

    Are practice tests and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes a large bank of practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator and topic-wise quizzes to help you find weak areas and build genuine exam readiness.

    Is the courseware aligned to the latest PMBOK edition?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the current PMP Examination Content Outline, so you prepare against the standard PMI tests today rather than an older edition.

    Do I receive contact hours and a certificate?

    Yes. On completing the training you earn 35 contact hours that count towards PMP eligibility, along with a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning.
