    What is the format of the PfMP exam?

    The PfMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PfMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition. Questions are scenario-based and spread across the five portfolio management performance domains.

    How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level performance feedback rather than a fixed percentage score.

    What are the PfMP exam domains and their weights?

    Five domains: Strategic Alignment (25%), Governance (20%), Portfolio Performance (25%), Portfolio Risk Management (14%) and Communications Management (16%). Aim for broad mastery across all five.

    What is the PfMP panel review?

    The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PfMP. A panel of portfolio management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. You must pass both the panel review and the written exam to earn the credential.

    What if I do not pass the exam the first time?

    PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts, and our preparation resources, mock exams and trainer guidance are designed to help you pass with confidence.

    Do I need prior experience to benefit from this training?

    Anyone can attend the training, and it is designed for experienced professionals. To sit the exam, PMI requires substantial business and portfolio management experience, so the course also helps you document that experience for the application and panel review.

    What learning resources and materials are provided?

    You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PfMP Examination Content Outline and Handbook, a Standard for Portfolio Management overview, templates, flashcards and chapter-wise quizzes to support your revision.

    Are practice tests and mock exams included?

    What are the eligibility requirements for the PfMP?

    PMI offers three sets. All require 120 months (10 years) of business experience within the past 15 years. Portfolio management experience is 84 months with a secondary diploma, 48 months with a bachelor's degree, or 36 months with a GAC-accredited degree, plus the panel review.

    How do I enrol in the PfMP course in the Netherlands?
