What is JIRA training and who is it for?

Is Jira training worth it in the Netherlands?

Do I need any prior experience to start?

No prior Jira experience is needed for the Fundamentals level; basic familiarity with web applications is enough. The Advanced level assumes you have completed Fundamentals or have equivalent hands-on Jira experience.

What is the difference between Fundamentals and Advanced?

Fundamentals (2 days) covers projects, issues, Scrum and Kanban boards, roadmaps, filters and Agile reports. Advanced (3 days) covers workflow design, schemes, custom fields, advanced JQL, dashboards, automation, integrations and Jira administration. You can take either level or both in sequence.

Which version of Jira does the training use?

The training focuses on Jira Cloud, the primary way teams use Atlassian Jira in 2026, including its Scrum and Kanban boards, automation and the latest Atlassian Intelligence and Rovo AI features. The skills also transfer to Jira Data Center.

How much does JIRA training cost in the Netherlands?

What is included in the training fee?

The fee typically covers instructor-led sessions, structured courseware, hands-on Jira exercises, practice activities, learner support and a course completion certificate. Exact inclusions depend on the level and format you choose.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams, PMOs and departments. Ask about group pricing for training delivered onsite or live virtual across the Netherlands.

Do I need to pay separately for Jira software?

The training teaches you Jira, but a Jira licence is a separate Atlassian product. Jira Cloud offers a free tier for up to 10 users for practice. Check whether a shared training environment is provided when you enrol.

What payment options are available?

Assessment

Is there an exam for the JIRA training?

No. This is a practical skills course with no examination at either level. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Jira exercises and configuration activities throughout the training rather than through a test.

Will I get a certificate after the training?

Yes. You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning after finishing the programme. It recognises the practical Jira skills you have built and is a completion record rather than a formal external qualification.

How are my skills assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you practise each feature through guided, hands-on exercises using realistic Agile delivery scenarios, so you build genuine proficiency as you go.

Do the skills expire or need renewing?

No. The Jira skills you learn do not expire and need no renewal. As Jira Cloud evolves, the core concepts you master, such as boards, workflows, JQL and automation, remain directly applicable.

Will the training prepare me for real Jira work?

Yes. The whole course is built around applying Jira on the job, from running boards and sprints to configuring workflows and automation, so you can contribute to your team's delivery straight away.

What topics does the JIRA training cover?

Fundamentals covers projects, the issue hierarchy, Scrum and Kanban boards, sprints, roadmaps, versions, filters, basic JQL and Agile reports. Advanced adds workflows, schemes, custom fields, advanced JQL, dashboards, automation, integrations and Jira administration.

Will I learn JQL and reporting?

Yes. You learn to write Jira Query Language searches, save and share filters, and interpret velocity, burndown, sprint and cumulative flow reports, so you can give leaders clear, reliable delivery visibility.

Does the course cover Jira automation and integrations?

Yes, at the Advanced level. You build automation rules with triggers, conditions and smart values, and connect Jira to Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub and CI/CD tools for end-to-end delivery tracking.

Is the training hands-on?

Very. You follow along in a live Jira environment while the trainer demonstrates each feature, then practise on realistic scenarios. The emphasis is on doing real Jira work, not just watching slides.
