    Is the PMP worth it for project managers in Namibia?

    Yes. Namibia is running its largest ever capital pipeline, from Orange Basin oil and the Hyphen hydrogen project to uranium, port and grid works, and employers name the PMP in senior job specifications and tenders. Project managers average around N$270,000 a year, while construction project manager roles in Windhoek average close to N$395,000.

    Who should take PMP certification training?

    Experienced project managers, delivery leads, functional managers and team leads who direct project scope, schedule, budget and stakeholders. A formal project manager job title is not required, but PMI does require documented experience leading projects before you can sit the exam.

    Which standard is the current PMP exam based on?

    The current exam is based on PMI's updated Examination Content Outline, aligned to the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition and supported by the Agile Practice Guide. Our courseware is mapped to the 8th edition, so what you study is what the exam tests.

    How long is the PMP certification valid?

    The PMP is valid for three years from the date of certification. To renew, you earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) within each three-year cycle, with a minimum of 8 PDUs in each area of the PMI Talent Triangle: Ways of Working, Power Skills and Business Acumen.

    Is the PMP recognised by employers in Namibia?

    Yes. Mining, energy, oil and gas, construction, telecoms, banking and public sector employers in Namibia recognise the PMP, and it appears in procurement and tender requirements internationally. The Namibia Chapter of PMI also supports the local project management community.

    Is the PMI exam fee included in the training price?

    No. The PMI exam fee is paid separately to PMI when you submit your application, and is not part of the training fee. Your training fee covers the education, courseware and preparation resources you need to sit the exam with confidence.

    What if I do not pass the PMP exam on my first attempt?

    You get up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility window, so a first attempt is not your only chance. PMI charges a reduced re-examination fee for the second and third attempts, and your training includes practice tests, mock exams and trainer support to help you close gaps before you sit again.

    How many questions are on the PMP exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 180 questions and runs for 230 minutes, which is 3 hours and 50 minutes, including two scheduled 10-minute breaks. It is closed book and uses several question types: multiple choice with single and multiple answers, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank.

    What are the PMP exam domains and their weightings?

    The current exam covers five domains: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (15%), Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies (28%), Agile Frameworks and Methodologies (27%), Business Analysis and Strategic Management (18%), and Stakeholder Engagement and Communication (12%).

    What is the passing score for the PMP exam?

    PMI does not publish a fixed numeric pass mark. The passing score is determined psychometrically, and your result is reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback rated Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement. Aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

    Where can I sit the PMP exam in Namibia?

    You can take the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctored system from home or the office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website once your application is approved.

    What are the eligibility requirements for the PMP exam?

    There are two paths. With a four-year degree you need 36 months of leading projects plus 35 contact hours of project management education. With a secondary school diploma or equivalent you need 60 months of leading projects plus the same 35 contact hours. PMI audits a random sample of applications.

    Course Content

    Can a beginner take this training or do I need experience?

    Anyone can attend the training, and it is a good way to build structured project management capability. To sit the exam, however, PMI requires 36 months of leading projects with a four-year degree, or 60 months with a secondary school diploma. If you are earlier in your career, ask us about the CAPM instead.

    What topics does the PMP training cover?

    The training covers all five performance domains of the current exam outline: project management fundamentals, predictive plan-based methodologies, agile frameworks, business analysis and strategic management, and stakeholder engagement and communication, plus exam strategy and PMI application guidance.

    Does the PMP exam cover agile?

    Yes, substantially. Agile Frameworks and Methodologies is a dedicated domain worth 27% of the exam, covering Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP and hybrid delivery. Together with the predictive and business analysis domains, this reflects how projects are actually run today.

    What learning materials and practice resources are included?

    You receive PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions weighted to the five domains, full-length mock exams, exam simulator access, real-world case studies and downloadable templates. Post-training support is available after your sessions end.

    Is the courseware aligned to the latest PMP syllabus?

    Yes. The courseware is mapped to PMI's current Examination Content Outline, which is aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and references the Agile Practice Guide. You will not be studying a retired syllabus.
