It is designed for senior programme managers, PMP holders stepping up, and PMO leaders with substantial programme experience.

What is the PgMP certification and who is it for?

Is the PgMP worth it for professionals in Namibia?

Yes. As Namibia scales its oil, green hydrogen, mining and banking programmes, employers increasingly seek leaders who can coordinate multiple projects and realise benefits. Senior programme roles command strong salary bands, and fewer than 3,000 people worldwide hold the PgMP, making it a rare differentiator.

Is PMP required before the PgMP?

No. PMP is not a mandatory prerequisite. However, an active PMP satisfies the project management experience requirement across all three PgMP eligibility sets, so PMP holders only need to document their programme management experience.

How long is the PgMP certification valid?

The PgMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle, with a minimum of 8 PDUs in each area.

Is the PgMP recognised internationally?

Yes. As a PMI credential, the PgMP carries global recognition and is referenced by senior employers worldwide as a benchmark for programme management. It travels with you across sectors and borders, from Windhoek to global markets.

Pricing

How much does PgMP training cost in Namibia?

Training fees vary by format, such as live virtual, classroom or corporate group delivery. Pricing is available on request, so speak with a learning advisor for a quote suited to your goals. The PMI exam fee is billed separately and is not part of the training fee.

What is included in the PgMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, application and panel-review support, learner support, and a course completion certificate with contact hours. Ask us for the full inclusions on your chosen plan.

How much is the PgMP exam fee?

PMI bills the exam fee in USD under regional pricing, for reference around USD 800 for members and USD 1,000 for non-members. PMI membership can lower the exam cost. Confirm current fees on pmi.org before you apply.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

What is the format of the PgMP exam?

The PgMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. It uses scenario-based questions across five performance domains, delivered online proctored or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours. It is delivered through Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE testing centre.

What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

There are five domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%). Program Life Cycle Management carries the most weight.

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience. It is a mandatory step in addition to the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

What is the passing score for the PgMP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback, so focus on broad mastery across all five domains.

What if I do not pass the first time, can I retake it?

Yes. PMI permits up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Re-examination fees apply to later attempts. Our preparation and practice resources are designed to help you pass with confidence.

Course Content

What topics are covered in the PgMP training?

The training covers the five performance domains: Strategic Program Management, Program Life Cycle Management, Benefits Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Governance, plus the PgMP application, panel-review preparation and exam strategy.

Which standard and edition is the course based on?

The course is aligned to PMI's Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition, and the current PgMP Examination Content Outline (ECO). This ensures your learning matches exactly what the credential validates.

Are practice questions and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the ECO, so you can identify weak areas and build readiness for the 170-question exam.

Do I get help with the PgMP application?

Yes. We guide you through documenting your programme management experience for the PMI application and help you prepare for the subject-matter-expert panel review, two of the most demanding steps in the PgMP journey.

Will I receive a certificate of completion?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours earned through the programme, which also support your ongoing PDU record.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PgMP?

PMI offers three sets. With a secondary diploma you need 48 months of project management experience or an active PMP plus 84 months of programme experience; with a four-year degree the programme experience requirement is 48 months; a GAC-accredited degree reduces both to 36 months. All experience must fall within the past 15 years.

How do I enrol in the PgMP course?
