    Should I take the Fundamentals or Advanced level?

    Choose Fundamentals if you are new to Jira or use it occasionally and want a solid grounding in projects, boards, sprints and basic JQL. Choose Advanced if you already use Jira and want to master workflows, schemes, automation, dashboards and administration.

    How long is each level of the course?

    The Fundamentals level runs for two days (16 hours in total) and the Advanced level runs for three days (24 hours). Both are available as full-day or extended half-day sessions to suit different schedules.

    Will the Jira skills I learn expire?

    No. The skills are immediately applicable and do not expire, and there is no renewal to maintain. As Atlassian updates Jira Cloud, the core concepts you learn, such as boards, JQL, workflows and automation, continue to apply.

    What topics does JIRA training cover?

    Fundamentals covers projects, issues, Scrum and Kanban boards, sprints, roadmaps, versions, filters and basic JQL, and Agile reports. Advanced covers workflows, schemes, custom fields, advanced JQL, dashboards, automation, integrations and Jira administration.

    What will I learn in the Fundamentals level?

    You will create and configure Jira projects, manage issues across the Epic, Story, Task, Bug and Subtask hierarchy, run sprints on the Scrum board, use the Kanban board and roadmaps, and interpret Velocity, Burndown and Cumulative Flow reports.

    What does the Advanced level cover?

    The Advanced level covers custom workflows with conditions, validators and post-functions, permission and notification schemes, custom fields, advanced JQL, dashboards, Jira automation rules, DevOps integrations and Jira administration and governance.

    Are there hands-on exercises during the course?

    Yes. Both levels are highly practical. You follow along in a live Jira Cloud environment while the trainer demonstrates each feature, and you complete realistic Agile delivery exercises to build proficiency through practice.

    What learning materials are provided?

    You receive structured courseware aligned to each level, practical exercises and scenarios, reference guides and templates. These resources support your learning during the session and remain useful when you apply Jira at work.
