No. Change Management Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. To sit the Practitioner exam, you must first hold the Foundation certification, which the combined programme prepares you for.

    General

Is Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification worth it?

Yes. It is a globally recognised credential that proves you can lead the people side of organisational change, a skill in growing demand across Mozambique's LNG, banking and telecom sectors. Certified change professionals are still relatively rare, so the qualification helps you stand out for change manager, OD and transformation roles.

What is the Change Management certification and who is it for?

It is a two-level qualification covering the models, tools and practices used to manage organisational change. Foundation validates your knowledge, and Practitioner validates your ability to apply it. It suits HR partners, project and programme managers, OD practitioners and leaders driving change.

Which governing body and standard is the certification based on?

The qualification is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) published by the Change Management Institute, and to the current Change Management Practitioner Guide and the official Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi.

What change models does the course cover?

The syllabus covers individual and organisational change models including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's three-step model, Kotter's 8-step model, McKinsey 7-S, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence.

Do I need prior experience to take the training?

No. Change Management Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. To sit the Practitioner exam, you must first hold the Foundation certification, which the combined programme prepares you for.

    Pricing

How much does Change Management training cost in Mozambique?

Fees vary by delivery format and schedule, and are available on request in local currency. The combined package covers Foundation and Practitioner training with exam preparation for both levels. Request a quote for current pricing and upcoming batches.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training, courseware aligned to the CMBoK and Practitioner Guide, industry case studies, mock exams and practice questions for both levels, and learner support. Exam voucher inclusion can be confirmed on request.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion varies by package. Some bundles include the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers, while others are training-only. Ask a learning advisor to confirm what your chosen package covers.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for HR functions, PMOs and transformation teams. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 40 minutes. It is closed book, and the pass mark is 50%, meaning 25 out of 50 correct. It is usually taken at the end of the Foundation portion of the training.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book and scenario-based, comprising 5 sections each worth 16 marks, for 80 marks in total, over 2.5 hours. The pass mark is 50%, meaning 40 out of 80 marks. The Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the exam.

How many exams are in the combined programme?

There are two separate exams. You must sit and pass both the Foundation exam and the Practitioner exam to hold both credentials. The combined 40-hour programme prepares you for each level in sequence.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

You may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the exam. However, the scenario-based questions require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and solid method knowledge are both essential, which the training builds.

What if I do not pass an exam the first time?

You can re-sit an exam if needed. The training includes mock exams and exam-technique guidance for both levels to help you prepare thoroughly. Ask about retake support and any Flexi Pass options when you enrol.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the training?

The programme covers five syllabus areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organisation, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management, at Foundation and Practitioner depth.

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. Foundation has no prerequisites and starts from core concepts, so beginners can follow it. The trainer connects each model to real scenarios and provides practice throughout, so you build confidence before both exams.

How long is the training and how is it delivered?

The combined Foundation and Practitioner programme is a 40-hour course, delivered as live virtual (online) or classroom sessions, and as onsite or focused 1-to-1 training. The number of days varies with the daily schedule format.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive courseware aligned to the CMBoK and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide, industry-driven case studies, and mock exams with practice questions for both the Foundation and Practitioner levels.

Are there practice tests and mock exams?

    How soon can I start?

New batches run regularly across live virtual and classroom formats. Contact a learning advisor to see upcoming schedules and reserve your place in the next available cohort.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrolment?
