Capabilities You Will Build in Risk ManagementThe Five Domains, Applied

This PMI-RMP programme builds practical risk capability and exam readiness across the five domains of the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline. By the end, you can plan, identify, analyse, respond to and monitor risk on real projects and programmes.

Build a Risk Strategy and Plan

Skills covered in PMI-RMP start here: establish the risk approach, confirm risk thresholds and appetite, and tailor a risk management plan to predictive, agile or hybrid delivery, aligned to the January 2022 ECO.

    Identify Threats and Opportunities

Facilitate risk identification using brainstorming, Delphi, SWOT, prompt lists and assumption analysis, then document clear, unambiguous risks in the risk register with owners and categories.

    Analyse Risks Qualitatively and Quantitatively

Apply the probability and impact matrix, then use Monte Carlo simulation, decision trees, sensitivity analysis and expected monetary value to prioritise risks and model their effect on cost and schedule.

    Plan and Implement Risk Responses

Select and execute response strategies for threats (avoid, transfer, mitigate, accept) and opportunities (exploit, share, enhance, accept), and build contingency, fallback plans and reserves into the project.

    Monitor and Close Project Risks

Track triggers and residual and secondary risks, run periodic risk reviews, report on risk exposure to stakeholders, and formally close risks while capturing lessons learned at project closure.

Apply Tools Across Predictive and Agile Delivery

Work with risk registers, risk breakdown structures, tornado diagrams, heat maps and reserve analysis, and adapt them to the delivery approach so risk practice fits real project environments.
