Is there an exam at the end of the Jira training?

No. This is a non-certification course with no exam at either level. Your learning is reinforced through live, hands-on Jira exercises throughout the programme, so you build skills by doing rather than by testing.

What do I receive after completing the course?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning. There is no external credential or governing body; the value is the practical Jira skills you build and can apply immediately at work.

How is my learning assessed?

Learning is assessed informally through hands-on exercises and configuration activities during the training, not through a formal test. You practise creating issues, running sprints and configuring Jira as you learn.

Do I need Jira access before attending?

You should have access to a Jira environment for the exercises. Atlassian offers a free Jira Cloud tier, and we can advise whether a shared training environment is provided. Confirm access details when you enrol.

Will these skills stay relevant over time?

What will I learn in the Jira training?

Fundamentals covers projects, issues, Scrum and Kanban boards, sprints, roadmaps, versions, filters and basic JQL. Advanced covers workflow design, permission and notification schemes, custom fields, advanced JQL, dashboards, Jira automation, DevOps integrations and administration.

Is the training hands-on?

Yes. Both levels are exercise-led. You follow the trainer in a live Jira environment, building projects, running sprints, writing JQL and configuring workflows and automation using realistic agile delivery scenarios.

Does the course cover Scrum and Kanban in Jira?

Yes. You learn to run Scrum boards with sprints, backlogs, velocity and burndown reports, and Kanban boards with WIP limits and cumulative flow diagrams, so you can support either way of working.

Does it cover Jira administration and automation?

The Advanced level covers workflow and scheme configuration, custom fields, Jira automation rules, dashboards, integrations with Confluence, Bitbucket and CI/CD tools, and instance administration including user and governance management.
