    What is the format of the PMI-CP exam?

    The PMI-CP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination with single-answer and multiple-answer questions. It is based on the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline and covers four construction project management domains.

    How many questions are on the PMI-CP exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 120 questions and an allotted time of 230 minutes, which is 3 hours and 50 minutes. It is delivered online through Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    What are the PMI-CP exam domains and their weights?

    There are four domains: Contracts Management (50 per cent), Stakeholder Engagement (30 per cent), Strategy and Scope Management (15 per cent) and Project Governance (5 per cent). Contracts Management is by far the largest, reflecting its central role in construction delivery.

    What are the prerequisites for the PMI-CP?

    You must complete four mandatory self-paced PMI course modules and meet one experience set: a secondary diploma with 60 months of construction PM experience, a bachelor's degree with 36 months, or a GAC-accredited degree with 24 months, plus 35 contact hours of PM education.

    What if I do not pass the exam the first time?

    PMI allows up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility period from application approval. Reexamination fees apply to later attempts. Our practice questions, mock exams and trainer guidance are designed to help you prepare thoroughly for your first sitting.

    How is the PMI-CP exam scored?

    PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all four domains.

    You will learn to manage construction contracts, claims and disputes, engage stakeholders and owners, define and control scope, schedule and budget, manage risk and quality, and set project governance, all aligned to the four PMI-CP exam domains.

    What are the four mandatory PMI-CP modules?

    Before applying, you complete four self-paced PMI modules in any order: Project Communications, Interface Management, Scope and Change Order Management, and Contract and Risk Management. Each awards 14 PDUs, for 56 PDUs in total that also count toward renewal.

    Which standard is the training based on?

    The training is aligned to the current PMI-CP Examination Content Outline and the current edition of the PMBOK Guide, along with construction industry-specific standards and practices referenced by PMI. This keeps your preparation matched to the live exam.

    Are practice tests and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions mapped to the 120-question, 230-minute PMI-CP format, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness across all four domains.

    Do I need prior experience to follow the course?
