What Is Driving Change Management Demand in Mauritius

    Financial Services Regulatory Change

Mauritius banks and global business firms face constant regulatory and compliance change, and many struggle to embed it without disruption, the exact people-side gap this certification is built to close.

Practitioner training builds change planning skills

    Digital Transformation Adoption Gap

As ICT and BPO firms move into fintech, AI and cloud, new systems often fail to gain user adoption. Change practitioners who apply ADKAR and Kotter close the gap between rollout and real usage.

Foundation training builds ADKAR and adoption skills

    Public Sector E-Governance Shift

Government digital and e-governance programmes touch large workforces and citizens, demanding structured stakeholder engagement and communication that certified change managers are trained to lead.

    Learn stakeholder engagement and communication

    Change Fatigue and Talent Retention

With salaries rising and talent scarce, poorly managed change drives disengagement and attrition. Skilled change leaders manage transition, resistance and resilience to protect people and performance.

    Build resistance and resilience skills

    Restructuring Across Conglomerates

Mauritian groups spanning finance, tourism and manufacturing keep restructuring to diversify, and weak change execution causes value leakage that trained portfolio-wide change leaders are hired to prevent.

Practitioner training builds organisational change skills

    Scarcity of Certified Change Talent

Mauritius has a deep project and HR talent pool but few formally certified change practitioners, so a Foundation and Practitioner credential makes holders distinctive and in demand.

A recognised credential makes you stand out

    General

Is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification worth it in Mauritius?

Yes. It validates your ability to lead the people side of organisational change, which employers across Mauritian banking, ICT, BPO, consulting and the public sector increasingly need. Certified change managers earn around Rs 960,000 a year on average, with transformation roles paying more. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

What is the Change Management certification and who is it for?

It is a combined credential covering the models, tools and practices used to manage the people and culture side of change. Foundation validates knowledge; Practitioner validates applying it to real scenarios. It suits change managers, HR business partners, project and programme managers, OD practitioners and consultants.

What standard and body is the certification based on?

The programme is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute, and to the current Change Management Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi. It draws on models including ADKAR, Kotter's 8-Step Model, Lewin, McKinsey 7-S and Bridges' Transition Model.

Are there any prerequisites to start?

None for Foundation, which is open to all regardless of background. The Practitioner exam requires you to hold the Change Management Foundation certification first, which the combined programme prepares you for over five days.

    Is the certification recognised internationally?

Yes. The Change Management qualification is recognised in over 150 countries and is well respected in markets where change management is an established discipline. That makes it a transferable credential for professionals in Mauritius working with regional and global organisations.

    Pricing

What is included in the Change Management course fee?

The training fee typically includes courseware aligned to the CMBoK, mock exams and practice questions, open-book Practitioner scenario practice, learner support, and a course completion certificate. Exam voucher inclusion varies by package. Request a quote for what is included in your batch.

How much does the training cost in Mauritius?

Pricing varies by delivery format and package, and exam fees are billed by the certification body separately where not bundled. For current Mauritius pricing and any group offers, the fee is available on request, so contact a learning advisor for a tailored quote.

Are the exam fees part of the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion depends on the package you choose. Some bundles include the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers, while others price them separately. Confirm the current inclusion with our team before you enrol.

Do you offer corporate or group pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for HR functions, PMOs and transformation teams across Mauritius. Ask about corporate and group pricing for a quote tailored to your team size.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the Change Management Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam is closed book with 50 multiple-choice questions to answer in 40 minutes. The pass mark is 50%, which is 25 out of 50 correct. It is typically taken at the end of the Foundation part of the programme via online proctoring or a test centre.

What is the format of the Change Management Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book, with the Change Management Practitioner Guide permitted. It has 5 scenario-based sections worth 16 marks each, 80 marks in total, over 2.5 hours. The pass mark is 50%, which is 40 out of 80 marks.

How many exams are there in the combined programme?

Two separate exams: the Foundation exam and the Practitioner exam. You must sit and pass both to hold both credentials. Foundation is usually taken first, followed by the open-book Practitioner exam later in the programme.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

You may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the exam. However, the scenario-based sections require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep model knowledge are both essential, which our timed practice builds.

What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

You can re-sit the exam that you did not pass. Re-sit fees and policies vary by package and provider, so confirm the current terms with our team. Our mock exams and first-attempt guidance are designed to help you pass both exams the first time.

    Course Content

What topics does the Change Management training cover?

The programme covers five topic areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organisation, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management, at Foundation knowledge level and Practitioner application level.

Which change models will I learn?

You learn a broad set of individual and organisational models, including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, McKinsey 7-S, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence.

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. Foundation has no prerequisites and is designed to build knowledge from the ground up, so newcomers to change management can start here. The Practitioner part then develops applied skill through scenario practice, with trainer support throughout.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and mock exams for both levels, plus open-book scenario practice for the Practitioner exam. These help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness before the real thing.

How long is the training and what is the format?

The combined programme is delivered as 40 hours of instructor-led training, commonly over five days, with Foundation content first and Practitioner content after. It is available online (live virtual), in classroom, and as corporate group training.

How do I enrol in the Change Management course in Mauritius?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. See upcoming batches or talk to a learning advisor to get started.

    What training formats are available?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom training, self-paced learning where available, and customised corporate group training, so you can pick the format that fits your schedule and learning style.
