How much does PfMP training cost in Mauritius?

PfMP training fees in Mauritius are available on request and vary by format and batch. The PMI exam fee is billed separately in USD under regional pricing and is not part of the training fee. Talk to a learning advisor for a tailored quote.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PfMP exam fee separately in USD. For reference, it is around USD 800 for PMI members and USD 1,000 for non-members, and membership is about USD 139 a year. Confirm current fees on the PMI store before applying.

What is the format of the PfMP exam?

The PfMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PfMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition. It uses scenario-based questions across the five performance domains.

How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

The PfMP exam has 170 questions and you have four hours (240 minutes) to complete it. The five domains are Strategic Alignment (25%), Governance (20%), Portfolio Performance (25%), Portfolio Risk Management (14%) and Communications Management (16%).

What is the PfMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PfMP. A panel of portfolio management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is a mandatory step in addition to the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

What is the passing score for the PfMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is determined through psychometric analysis and reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback, so focus on broad mastery across all five performance domains.

What happens if I do not pass the exam?

You can retake it. PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period, and our preparation support and mock exams are designed to help you pass. Reexamination fees apply to the second and third attempts.

Where can I take the PfMP exam in Mauritius?

You can take the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Schedule it within your one-year eligibility window once your application is approved.

What topics are covered in the PfMP training?

The training covers the five PfMP performance domains: Strategic Alignment (25%), Governance (20%), Portfolio Performance (25%), Portfolio Risk Management (14%) and Communications Management (16%), plus the application, panel review and exam strategy.

Do I need prior experience to benefit from the training?

Anyone can attend the training, and it is built for experienced professionals. To sit the exam, PMI requires substantial business and portfolio management experience, so the programme is most valuable for senior delivery, programme and portfolio professionals.

Are practice tests, mock exams and assignments included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the PfMP Examination Content Outline, helping you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PfMP syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to PMI's Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition, and the current PfMP Examination Content Outline, covering all five performance domains.

Will I receive a certificate of completion after the training?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours (PDUs) earned through the programme.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PfMP exam?

PMI requires 120 months (10 years) of business experience within the last 15 years, plus portfolio management experience within the same period: 84 months with a secondary diploma, 48 months with a bachelor's degree, or 36 months with a GAC-accredited degree. A panel review also applies.

How do I enrol in the PfMP course?

What training formats are available in Mauritius?

Is PMP or PgMP required before the PfMP?

No. Neither PMP nor PgMP is a prerequisite for the PfMP. The requirements are based on general business experience and portfolio management experience, not on prior PMI certifications, though many senior portfolio leaders hold one or both.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrolment to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans include a Flexi Pass to attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange this.
