Why Construction Employers in Luxembourg Need Certified Leaders

    Acute Housing Shortage

Luxembourg faces a chronic undersupply of homes, with nearly half the workforce commuting from across the border. Delivering housing faster demands rigorous construction project management.

PMI-CP builds scope, schedule and cost discipline

    Skilled Construction Talent Scarcity

Construction roles feature on Luxembourg's 2026 shortage occupation list. Employers compete for professionals who can prove construction-specific project management capability.

PMI-CP makes certified construction leaders stand out

    Complex Contracts and Claims Exposure

Construction contracts, variations and disputes drive cost and delay. With Contracts Management the largest PMI-CP domain, holders are equipped to administer contracts and resolve claims.

PMI-CP builds contract and claims management skills

    Large Public Infrastructure Complexity

Projects such as the Luxtram extension, schools and campus works span multiple agencies and stakeholders, demanding portfolio-grade governance and coordination at scale.

PMI-CP builds governance and coordination skills

    Cross-Border Workforce Coordination

Multilingual, cross-border site teams and stakeholders raise the bar for communication and engagement, exactly what the PMI-CP Stakeholder Engagement domain develops.

    Green and Circular Building Pressure

EU-backed sustainability and circular-economy requirements add scope and compliance complexity, pushing firms to strengthen construction project governance and control.

What is the passing score for the PMI-CP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all four domains.

    Course Content

What does the PMI-CP training cover?

What are the four mandatory prerequisite modules?

Before applying, all candidates must complete four self-paced PMI-CP modules in any order: Project Communications, Interface Management, Scope and Change Order Management, and Contract and Risk Management. Each is a 6 to 10 hour commitment awarding 14 PDUs, 56 PDUs in total.

Does this training satisfy the PMI-CP education requirement?

The instructor-led programme provides 32 contact hours, which is close to but below the 35 contact hours of project management education required across all three eligibility sets. Check with our team on whether supplementary self-study is credited toward the 35-hour requirement.

Can I take this if I do not hold the PMP?

Yes. The PMP is not required to enrol or to earn the PMI-CP. Anyone can take the training; to sit the exam you must complete the four prerequisite modules and meet PMI's construction experience and education requirements.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrolment to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans let you attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange this.
