Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

It is a two-level qualification covering the knowledge, models and practices needed to manage the people side of organisational change. Foundation validates your understanding of change concepts, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real scenarios. It is grounded in the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) and the Change Management Practitioner Guide.

    General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a two-level qualification covering the knowledge, models and practices needed to manage the people side of organisational change. Foundation validates your understanding of change concepts, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real scenarios. It is grounded in the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) and the Change Management Practitioner Guide.

Who should take this course in Luxembourg?

It suits project and programme managers, HR business partners, consultants, organisational development practitioners and leaders sponsoring change. In Luxembourg's banking, fund and consulting sectors, anyone leading transformation, regulatory or digital change will benefit from a recognised change credential.

Is the Change Management certification worth it in Luxembourg?

Yes. Change managers in Luxembourg earn around 101,572 euros on average, and consultant and programme roles reach higher, according to SalaryExpert 2026. With DORA, digitalisation and constant regulatory change driving demand, certified change professionals are in short supply and highly valued.

    Is the qualification recognised internationally?

Yes. The Change Management qualification is recognised in over 150 countries and is especially respected across the UK, Europe and Australia. That makes it a portable credential for Luxembourg's cross-border, multilingual job market.

How does it complement project management qualifications?

It covers the people and culture dimension that frameworks like PRINCE2 and agile do not address in depth: stakeholder engagement, communication, resistance management and embedding change. Together they give you a complete toolkit for delivering both the technical and human sides of change.

    Pricing

How much does the training cost in Luxembourg?

Fees depend on your chosen format, such as live virtual, classroom or corporate group training, and are available on request. The combined package typically bundles training with both exam vouchers. Request a quote and a learning advisor will share current pricing for Luxembourg.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes CMBoK-aligned courseware for both levels, industry case studies, Foundation and Practitioner mock exams, practice questions, learner support and first-attempt guidance. Exam voucher inclusion is confirmed at enrolment. Ask an advisor for the full inclusions.

Are both exam fees included in the price?

The combined programme leads to two separate exams, and both vouchers are usually bundled into authorised training packages. As inclusions can vary by format, confirm exam voucher coverage with our team before you enrol.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with tailored schedules and volume-based pricing for PMOs, HR functions and transformation teams across Luxembourg. Contact us for a group quote for your organisation.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the two exams?

The Foundation exam is closed book with multiple-choice, single-answer questions. The Practitioner exam is open book and scenario-based, with the Change Management Practitioner Guide permitted. Both can be taken via online proctoring or at an authorised test centre.

How many questions are there and how long are the exams?

The Foundation exam has 50 questions and lasts 40 minutes. The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections worth 16 marks each, 80 marks in total, and lasts 2.5 hours (150 minutes).

What is the passing score for each exam?

Both exams require 50% to pass. That is 25 out of 50 correct for Foundation and 40 out of 80 marks for Practitioner. You must pass both to hold both credentials.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

The Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the exam. However, the scenario-based sections require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential, which the training builds.

What happens if I do not pass the first time?

You can re-sit an exam. Our training includes mock exams, practice questions and exam technique to prepare you for a confident first attempt, and our team can guide you on re-sit steps if needed. Talk to a learning advisor for details.

    Course Content

What topics does the course cover?

It covers five topic areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organisation, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management. Foundation covers them at knowledge level and Practitioner at application level.

Which change models will I learn?

You will learn established models including ADKAR, Kotter's 8-Step Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, the McKinsey 7-S Framework, Bridges' Transition Model, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence domains and Cialdini's principles of influence.

Which standard is the course aligned to?

The course is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide, along with the Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi.

Are mock exams and practice questions included?

Yes. The programme includes Foundation and Practitioner practice questions and mock exams, plus industry case studies, to help you identify weak areas and build readiness for both papers.

Do I get a certificate after the training?

You receive an official digital certificate from the certification body upon passing each exam: the Change Management Foundation designation, then the Practitioner designation. Invensis Learning also provides course materials and learner support throughout.

    Enrollment

What are the prerequisites to enrol?

Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. To sit the Practitioner exam you must hold the Change Management Foundation certification or an accepted equivalent. The combined programme covers both levels in sequence.

    How long is the training?

The combined Foundation and Practitioner programme is delivered as 40 hours of instructor-led training. The number of days depends on the schedule format, such as full-day intensive or extended half-day sessions.

    What training formats are available?

You can choose online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom sessions, focused 1-to-1 training, or customised corporate group training. Pick the format that fits your schedule and learning preference.

How do I enrol in the course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. See upcoming batches or talk to a learning advisor to get started.

    Can I reschedule my enrolment?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch on selected plans. Contact our support team to arrange this and review the terms that apply to your booking.
