Industry Challenges Driving Primavera P6 Demand in South Korea

    P6 Named in the Contract

Korean EPC and construction contracts frequently specify Primavera P6 by name as the required scheduling tool, so teams without hands-on P6 skills struggle to meet baseline and progress-reporting obligations.

P6 training builds contract-ready scheduling skills

    Megaproject Delivery Pressure

Record 2026 semiconductor fabs and accelerated timelines demand tight schedule, resource and risk control, exactly the integrated planning capability that skilled P6 users provide.

P6 training builds control at scale

    Planner Talent Scarcity

South Korea has a deep pool of project managers but far fewer specialist P6 planners and schedulers, leaving employers competing for professionals who can control a schedule in Primavera.

P6 training makes planners stand out

    Cost and Schedule Integration Gap

Many teams can track dates but cannot cost-load a schedule or report earned value, the exact gap that resource-loaded, EVM-capable P6 planners are hired to close on capital projects.

P6 training builds earned value capability

    Overseas EPC Reporting Standards

Korean contractors delivering Gulf and international projects must meet FIDIC, NEC and EVMS reporting standards, all of which lean on disciplined Primavera P6 scheduling and variance analysis.

P6 training meets global reporting needs

    Nuclear and Power Programme Revival

New nuclear and SMR programmes bring long-duration, safety-critical schedules that require multi-project coordination and rigorous baseline management in P6 to stay on track.

Fluent in Primavera P6, the tool Korean EPC and construction contracts specify by name

    Before

Schedules that track dates but cannot show cost or performance variance

    Now you have

The ability to build baselines, run critical path and report earned value from P6

    Before

Stuck in general project support with no specialist scheduling skill

    General

What is Oracle Primavera P6 training and who is it for?

It is a practical, hands-on course that teaches you to plan, schedule and control projects using Oracle Primavera P6, the enterprise scheduling application from Oracle Corporation. It suits project planners, schedulers, project engineers, project controls engineers and project managers in construction, EPC, energy and other capital-intensive industries.

Is Primavera P6 training worth it for professionals in South Korea?

Yes. P6 is the scheduling tool most Korean EPC and construction contracts specify by name, and employers such as Samsung C&T, Hyundai E&C and Samsung E&A hire planners and project controls staff who can use it. With record 2026 megaproject activity, hands-on P6 skills are directly job-relevant. See upcoming batches to get started.

Do I get a certificate after the P6 training?

This is a non-certification skills course, so there is no external credential or exam. On completing the training you receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning, and the practical P6 skills you build are immediately usable at work.

Should I take the Fundamentals or Advanced level?

Take Fundamentals (2 days) if you are new to Primavera P6 or use it occasionally. Take Advanced (3 days) if you already use P6 and want to master resource and cost loading, earned value, Claim Digger, multi-project control and custom reporting. You can attend either level on its own or both in sequence.

Which version of Primavera P6 does the training cover?

The training is delivered on a current version of Oracle Primavera P6. The latest release is version 26.4, the 2026 P6 EPPM update, and the skills you learn apply across recent P6 Professional and P6 EPPM versions used on capital projects.

    Pricing

How much does Primavera P6 training cost in South Korea?

The fee depends on the level you choose, the delivery format (live online, classroom or corporate onsite) and group size. Individual and group pricing is available on request. Contact a learning advisor for a quote tailored to your needs.

What is included in the P6 course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training across the chosen level, hands-on P6 exercises and practice files, structured courseware and learning resources, learner support, and a course completion record. Confirm the exact inclusions for your selected format when you enrol.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing for P6 training?

Are there any additional software costs?

Oracle Primavera P6 is a separate commercial product from Oracle Corporation, so you need valid P6 access to practise. Confirm with us whether a training environment is provided or whether you should arrange your own P6 access before the sessions.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and instalment options are available on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Assessment

Is there an exam for the Primavera P6 training?

No. There is no examination at either the Fundamentals or Advanced level. Learning is reinforced through live, hands-on P6 exercises using realistic project scenarios throughout each programme.

How is my learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you practise each feature directly in Primavera P6 as the trainer demonstrates it, building proficiency through guided exercises on construction and engineering scenarios rather than through a test.

What will I be able to do after the Fundamentals level?

You will be able to navigate the P6 enterprise project structure, create a project and calendars, build an activity list with relationships, run the scheduler and read the critical path and float, assign resources, set a baseline, update progress and produce basic layouts and reports.

What will I be able to do after the Advanced level?

You will be able to configure advanced scheduling options, fully resource-load and cost-load a schedule, calculate and report earned value, use Claim Digger to compare schedules, manage multiple projects and baselines, and build custom layouts and reports with Excel integration.

Do I receive proof of completion?

Yes. On completing the training you receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning that recognises the practical Primavera P6 skills you have built.

    Course Content

What topics does the Primavera P6 syllabus cover?

Fundamentals covers the P6 interface, EPS, OBS and WBS, activity types, relationships, scheduling, the critical path, resources, baselines and progress. Advanced adds resource and cost loading, cost accounts, earned value, baseline management, Claim Digger, multi-project control and custom reporting.

Do I need prior experience to join the Fundamentals level?

No. The Fundamentals level has no prerequisites and is designed for people new to Primavera P6. Basic familiarity with project concepts such as activities and resources is helpful but not required.

What do I need before the Advanced level?

You should have completed the Fundamentals level or have equivalent hands-on Primavera P6 experience, since the Advanced level builds on core P6 scheduling skills to cover resource and cost loading, earned value and multi-project control.

Is the training hands-on or theory based?

It is hands-on throughout. You work directly in Primavera P6 as the trainer demonstrates each feature, applying it to realistic construction, engineering and capital-project scenarios so the skills transfer straight to your own work.

How long is each level of the training?

The Fundamentals level runs for 2 days (16 hours) and the Advanced level for 3 days (24 hours). Both are available as full-day sessions or extended half-day formats; confirm current scheduling options when you enrol.

Can the training be delivered onsite for my team?
