What is the PgMP certification and who is it for?

The Program Management Professional (PgMP) is PMI's senior credential for professionals who manage multiple related projects as a coordinated programme to deliver strategic benefits. It suits senior programme managers, PMO leaders, delivery directors and PMP holders stepping up to programme level.

Is PgMP recognised in Israel?

Yes. PgMP is a globally recognised PMI credential valued by employers across Israel and worldwide, including high-tech firms, defence and aerospace players, banks, healthcare organisations and consultancies that run large portfolios of related projects.

Is PMP required before PgMP?

No. PMP is not a mandatory prerequisite. However, an active PMP satisfies the project management experience requirement across all three PgMP eligibility sets, so PMP holders only need to document their programme management experience.

How long is the PgMP certification valid?

PgMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle (at least 8 PDUs in each area) within each three-year continuing certification requirements cycle.

What is included in the PgMP training fee in Israel?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, downloadable templates, application and panel-review support, learner support and a course completion certificate with contact hours. How much does the PgMP exam cost?

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

What is the format of the PgMP exam?

The PgMP exam is closed book with multiple-choice questions, based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. It is delivered online through Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours (240 minutes). Results are reported with domain-level feedback such as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement.

What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

Five performance domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%). Program Life Cycle Management carries the greatest weight.

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience. It is mandatory in addition to the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

What if I do not pass the exam the first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility window from application approval. Re-examination fees apply to later attempts. Our preparation resources and trainer support are designed to help you pass with confidence.

Course Content

What topics are covered in the PgMP training?

The training covers the five performance domains: strategic programme management, programme life cycle management, benefits management, stakeholder engagement and governance, plus application strategy and panel-review preparation, all aligned to the ECO and the Fourth Edition standard.

Do I need prior experience to take this training?

Anyone can join the training, but the PgMP credential itself expects substantial experience. Depending on your education, PMI requires up to 84 months of programme management experience and either 48 months of project experience or an active PMP, all within the last 15 years.

Which standard and outline is the courseware based on?

The courseware is aligned to The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition, and the current PgMP Examination Content Outline, so you study exactly what the exam evaluates across the five programme domains.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the ECO, helping you identify weak areas and build readiness for the 170-question exam.

Will I receive a certificate after the training?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours earned through the programme, which also count as PDUs.
