The PfMP exam is a closed-book, computer-based, multiple-choice examination based on the PfMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition. It uses scenario and situational questions across five performance domains.

How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

The PfMP exam has 170 questions and a four-hour (240-minute) time limit. It is delivered via Pearson VUE, either at a test centre or through OnVUE online proctoring.

What are the PfMP exam domains and their weights?

Five domains: Strategic Alignment (25%), Governance (20%), Portfolio Performance (25%), Portfolio Risk Management (14%) and Communications Management (16%), as set out in the current PfMP Examination Content Outline.

What is the passing score for the PfMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is determined through psychometric analysis and reported with domain-level feedback, so focus on broad mastery across all five performance domains.

What is the PfMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PfMP. A panel of portfolio management practitioners evaluates your documented portfolio experience. It is a mandatory step alongside the written exam; both must be passed to earn the credential.

What happens if I do not pass the exam the first time?

Anyone can attend the training, but the PfMP itself is an advanced credential. To sit the exam PMI requires substantial business and portfolio management experience, so the course best suits senior professionals already working at or towards portfolio level.

Will I receive a certificate of completion after the training?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours earned through the programme, which also count towards your PfMP preparation.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PfMP exam?

What training formats are available in Israel?
