How much is the PfMP exam fee?

PMI bills the exam fee in USD under regional pricing, around USD 800 for PMI members and USD 1,000 for non-members. PMI individual membership is roughly USD 139 per year and lowers the exam fee. Confirm current fees on pmi.org before applying.

What is the format of the PfMP exam?

The PfMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PfMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition. It uses scenario and situational questions across five performance domains.

How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 170 questions and you have four hours (240 minutes) to complete it. Questions are distributed across the five domains: Strategic Alignment (25%), Governance (20%), Portfolio Performance (25%), Portfolio Risk Management (14%) and Communications Management (16%).

What is the PfMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to PfMP. A panel of portfolio management practitioners evaluates your documented portfolio experience and competency. It is a mandatory step in addition to the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

What is the passing score for the PfMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is determined through psychometric analysis, with domain-level feedback such as Above Target or Target, so focus on broad mastery across all five performance domains.

What if I do not pass the exam, can I retake it?

Yes. PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts. Our prep support and mock exams are designed to help you build readiness before you sit the exam.

Where can I take the PfMP exam in Cyprus?

You can sit the exam through Pearson VUE, either via OnVUE online proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Schedule it within your one-year eligibility period once your application and panel review are approved.

What topics are covered in the PfMP training?

The training covers the five PfMP performance domains: Strategic Alignment (25%), Governance (20%), Portfolio Performance (25%), Portfolio Risk Management (14%) and Communications Management (16%), plus application and panel-review preparation and exam strategy.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PfMP exam?

PMI requires a secondary or bachelor's degree plus 120 months of professional business experience within the last 15 years, and portfolio management experience of 84, 48 or 36 months depending on your education path. Anyone can enrol in the training itself.

Are there practice tests, mock exams or assignments included?

Yes. The programme includes 1000+ practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the PfMP Examination Content Outline to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PfMP standard?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to PMI's Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition, and the current PfMP Examination Content Outline, so you study the same material the exam is built on.

Do I need PMP or PgMP before taking PfMP?

No. Neither PMP nor PgMP is a prerequisite for PfMP. Eligibility is based on general business experience and portfolio management experience, not on prior PMI certifications, though many senior portfolio leaders hold one or both.
