    What is the format of the PfMP exam?

    The PfMP exam is a computer-based, closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PfMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition. It uses scenario and situational questions across five performance domains.

    How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours (240 minutes). It is delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    What are the PfMP exam domains and their weights?

    Five domains: Strategic Alignment (25%), Governance (20%), Portfolio Performance (25%), Portfolio Risk Management (14%) and Communications Management (16%), all aligned to the current PfMP Examination Content Outline.

    What is the passing score for the PfMP exam?

    PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is determined through psychometric analysis, with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

    What happens if I do not pass the exam the first time?

    You may take up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Reexamination fees apply to the second and third attempts, and our prep resources and flexi options help you prepare thoroughly before you sit again.

    Anyone can enrol in the training, and it starts from core portfolio concepts before building to advanced practice. To sit the PfMP exam, however, PMI requires substantial business and portfolio management experience, so the programme suits senior professionals preparing for the credential.

    The training covers the five PfMP performance domains: Strategic Alignment, Governance, Portfolio Performance, Portfolio Risk Management and Communications Management, plus the PfMP application, panel review and exam strategy.

    What is the PfMP panel review?

    The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to PfMP. A panel of portfolio management practitioners evaluates your documented portfolio experience and competency. It is mandatory alongside the written exam, and our trainers help you prepare your experience summary for it.

    Is the courseware aligned with the latest PfMP standard?
