What Is the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification?UntitledYour Route to DMAIC Mastery

The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) is an intermediate quality and process improvement credential that proves you can lead and support data-driven improvement projects using the DMAIC method: Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control. Awarded by IASSC, it is an independent, globally recognised validation of practitioner-level Lean Six Sigma skill. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification training in Chile is in growing demand as mining, manufacturing, retail and financial services firms push operational excellence and lift stalled productivity. The credential suits quality analysts, process engineers and continuous improvement specialists who want to cut defects, waste and cycle time, and stand out in a competitive market. With no formal prerequisites and a single closed-book exam, the Green Belt is an accessible step up from Yellow Belt and a strong foundation for Black Belt. Start your journey with Invensis Learning and turn proven methods into measurable results.

Invensis Learning is an accredited IASSC (Peoplecert) training partner in Chile (2778), approved to deliver official LSSGB training using IASSC-aligned courseware.

Is a Green Belt worth it in Chile?

Yes. As mining, manufacturing and retail firms in Chile push productivity and operational excellence, certified improvement specialists are in demand. The credential maps to roles from quality analyst to continuous improvement lead, with strong pay growth as you advance.

Who should take Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training?

It suits quality analysts, process and production engineers, operations and supply chain professionals, and anyone leading or supporting improvement projects. It is also ideal for Yellow Belt holders who want to move up to a practitioner-level credential.

Do I need a Yellow Belt or prior experience first?

No. There are no formal prerequisites for the Green Belt. Prior experience and training are recommended but not required, so beginners and experienced professionals can both enrol and sit the exam.

How long is the Green Belt certification valid?

The credential holds a Current status for three years from the date of certification. To stay current, you complete a recertification exam before your status elapses, as set out by the governing body.

    Exam

What is the format of the Green Belt exam?

The exam is closed book with 100 questions in multiple-choice and true or false format, completed in a three-hour allotted time. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the five DMAIC phases.

What is the passing score for the Green Belt exam?

You need a minimum of 385 points out of 550. Because questions are distributed across all five DMAIC phases, broad mastery of Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control is the best way to prepare.

What if I do not pass the first time?

You can retake the exam through the certification body. Our training includes practice questions and exam preparation support to help you build readiness and approach your attempt with confidence.

What is the exam application process?

After your training, you purchase an exam voucher through the IASSC orders portal, choose your delivery mode (online on-demand or a Pearson VUE centre), then schedule and sit the closed-book exam within the access terms provided.
