Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification is a two-level qualification covering the models, tools and practices needed to manage the people side of organisational change. Foundation validates your knowledge of change concepts, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real change scenarios.

    General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

The Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification is a two-level qualification covering the models, tools and practices needed to manage the people side of organisational change. Foundation validates your knowledge of change concepts, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real change scenarios.

Who should take this change management course in Lausanne?

This course suits project managers, HR business partners, consultants, programme managers and aspiring change managers. In Lausanne it is especially relevant for professionals in life sciences, banking, FMCG and technology who lead or support transformation and want a recognised change credential.

Is Change Management certification recognised in Switzerland?

Yes. The Change Management qualification is recognised internationally, including across Switzerland and Europe, and is valued by employers such as life sciences, banking, insurance and technology organisations in the Lausanne region that run large change and transformation programmes.

What is the difference between the Foundation and Practitioner levels?

Foundation builds knowledge and comprehension of change management concepts, models and theories. Practitioner develops your ability to apply those approaches to realistic organisational change scenarios through an open-book, scenario-based exam. The combined programme covers both levels end to end.

Is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification worth it?

Yes. It signals proven people-side change capability, which is in growing demand across Lausanne's key sectors. Certified roles range from Change Analyst to Head of Change, and a Change Manager in Switzerland averages around CHF 115,500 per year, with senior roles reaching higher.

Which change management models does the course cover?

The syllabus covers ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, McKinsey 7-S, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence, all drawn from the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK).

    Pricing

How much does Change Management certification training cost in Lausanne?

Course fees vary by delivery format and whether exam vouchers are bundled, so pricing is available on request in Swiss francs. Request a quote and a learning advisor will share current options for individual and group enrolments in Lausanne.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training across both levels, courseware aligned to the current syllabi, industry case studies, mock exams and practice questions, and learner support. Confirm whether Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers are included when you request a quote.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion depends on the package you choose. Some bundles include the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers, while others price them separately. Ask a learning advisor to confirm what is included for your preferred option.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for transformation offices, HR functions and project teams in Lausanne and across Switzerland. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you and to confirm current pricing in Swiss francs.

    Exam

How many exams are in the combined programme?

There are two separate exams. You sit the Foundation exam first, then the Practitioner exam. You must pass both to hold both credentials, and the combined training prepares you for each in sequence.

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions with a single answer each, taken closed book over 40 minutes. The pass mark is 50 percent, meaning 25 of 50 correct. It has no formal prerequisites and is usually taken at the end of Foundation training.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has five scenario-based sections, each worth 16 marks, for 80 marks in total, taken over 2.5 hours. It is open book, using the Change Management Practitioner Guide, and requires a Foundation pass. The pass mark is 50 percent, meaning 40 of 80 marks.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

Open book means the Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the Practitioner exam. The five scenario sections require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential.

What is the passing score for each exam?

Both exams require 50 percent to pass. Foundation needs 25 of 50 questions correct, and Practitioner needs 40 of 80 marks across the five scenario-based sections.

What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

You can resit either exam. Our training includes mock exams and practice questions to prepare you for a first-time pass, and our team can guide you on booking a resit. Confirm current resit fees and policy when you enrol.

    Course Content

What topics does the change management course cover?

The course covers five topic areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organisation, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management. Foundation covers them at knowledge level and Practitioner at application level.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No prior change management experience is required. Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. You only need a Foundation pass before sitting the Practitioner exam, which the combined programme is designed to deliver in sequence.

Which standard and syllabus is the course based on?

The course is based on the current Change Management Foundation and Practitioner Exam Syllabi and is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute, with the current Change Management Practitioner Guide as the primary reference.

Are practice questions and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and mock exams for both the Foundation and Practitioner levels, plus scenario-based practice using open-book technique, so you can identify weak areas and build readiness for both exams.

    What materials will I receive?

You receive change management courseware aligned to the current syllabi, industry case studies illustrating change models and stakeholder engagement, and practice questions and mock exams for both levels. A learning advisor can confirm the full inclusions for your chosen format.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the Change Management course in Lausanne?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. To start, view upcoming schedules or talk to a learning advisor.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live virtual (online) instructor-led training, classroom training, and customised corporate group training. Delivered as a 40-hour programme, the format flexes across intensive or extended schedules so you can fit training around work in Lausanne.

    How soon can I start?

New cohorts run regularly across live virtual and corporate formats. Check upcoming schedules for the next available dates, or speak with a learning advisor to find a batch that fits your timeline and preferred delivery mode.

    Can I reschedule my enrollment?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or move to another batch, and selected plans allow you to attend the training again. Contact support to arrange a change to your enrolment.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations are handled per our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back option. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment before you book.
