What Is the PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification?UntitledYour Advanced Route in Project Delivery

PRINCE2 Practitioner certification training in Lausanne equips project managers to apply and tailor the PRINCE2 method to real project scenarios and to pass the advanced PRINCE2 Practitioner (PRINCE2-P) examination. PRINCE2 is owned by AXELOS and examined by PeopleCert, and the course is built on the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), which introduced the People capability, renamed themes to practices, and added sustainability and digital considerations. For professionals across Lausanne and the wider Vaud life sciences, public sector and international organisation base, the Practitioner credential is the definitive proof that you can lead PRINCE2 projects independently. It sits above Foundation and validates judgement, not just recall, through a scenario-based, open-book exam where the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects manual is permitted. Whether you are advancing from Foundation, diversifying a PMP, or formalising years of delivery experience, this is a clear next step. Prepare with Invensis Learning and move from study to certified with a structured, supported path.

Invensis Learning is a Peoplecert Accredited Training Organization (2778) in Lausanne, approved to deliver official PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification training using accredited courseware and standards.

    Certified Talent Scarcity

Swiss employers list PRINCE2 or PMP as preferred, yet credentialed practitioners are scarce in the French-speaking market. The advanced exam makes Practitioner holders rare and sought-after.

PRINCE2 makes certified project leaders stand out

    Sustainability and ESG Demands

Swiss organisations now weigh ESG outcomes in project decisions. PRINCE2 7 embeds sustainability into the business case and plans, so certified managers deliver responsibly.

    General

Is the PRINCE2 Practitioner certification worth it in Lausanne?

Yes. PRINCE2 Practitioner is the advanced PRINCE2 credential and proves you can lead and tailor projects independently. Lausanne employers in pharma, public sector, technology and international organisations value it, and project manager roles in the city average around CHF 114,300 per year, with senior bands reaching far higher.

What is PRINCE2 Practitioner and who is it for?

PRINCE2 Practitioner validates your ability to apply and tailor PRINCE2 principles, practices and processes to a given project scenario. It is designed for practising and aspiring project managers, Foundation holders, and PMP-certified managers who want to lead PRINCE2 projects.

    Who governs the PRINCE2 certification?

PRINCE2 was created by AXELOS and is now owned and examined by PeopleCert, which acquired AXELOS in 2021. The current standard is PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), delivered via PeopleCert accredited training organisations.

How long is the PRINCE2 Practitioner certification valid?

PRINCE2 Practitioner is valid for three years. You can renew by retaking and passing the Practitioner exam, completing continuing professional development via a PeopleCert MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher-level PRINCE2 qualification.

    Is PRINCE2 Practitioner recognised internationally?

Yes. PRINCE2 is recognised globally, with particular strength in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Commonwealth markets, and PeopleCert operates in over 200 countries. That makes the credential highly portable for professionals in Lausanne and beyond.

    Pricing

How much does PRINCE2 Practitioner training cost in Lausanne?

Fees vary by format and whether the exam voucher is bundled, so pricing is available on request. The training fee typically covers courseware, practice materials and exam technique, while the PeopleCert exam fee is billed separately. Request a quote for current Lausanne pricing.

What is included in the PRINCE2 course fee?

The fee usually includes accredited courseware aligned to PRINCE2 7, scenario-based practice, open-book exam technique, practice questions and learner support. Many packages also bundle the exam voucher. Confirm inclusions when you request a quote.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

It depends on the package. Some bundles include the PeopleCert Practitioner exam voucher, while others quote training and exam separately. PeopleCert exam pricing varies by region and channel, so we confirm the exact figure at the time of booking.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams and PMOs across Vaud and Switzerland. Ask about corporate or group pricing for a tailored quote.

    Exam

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

It is an open-book, scenario-based objective test. The PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects manual is permitted, but questions require analysis and judgement rather than simple look-up. It is delivered online via PeopleCert OnVUE or at an authorised test centre.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, and you have 150 minutes (2 hours 30 minutes) to complete it. The pass mark is 60%, which means at least 42 out of 70 marks.

What are the prerequisites for PRINCE2 Practitioner?

You need PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA Level A/B/C/D. Verify current accepted equivalents with PeopleCert. There is no formal education or work-experience requirement.

What if I do not pass the exam on the first attempt?

You can resit the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam. We support you with practice questions, mock scenarios and open-book technique to prepare thoroughly, and our team can guide you on rebooking through PeopleCert. Confirm resit fees at the time of booking.

Which edition does the exam cover?

The exam is based on the PRINCE2 7 Practitioner Syllabus, aligned to PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) and the PRINCE2 7 Managing Successful Projects manual. This edition introduced the People capability and added sustainability and digital data topics.

    Course Content

What topics does the PRINCE2 Practitioner training cover?

The training covers the nine Practitioner syllabus areas: the seven principles, seven practices and seven processes, plus key roles and responsibilities, people management, sustainability and ESG, digital and data management, communication, and tailoring PRINCE2 to your needs.

Can a beginner take this course or do I need experience?

Practitioner is an advanced course, so you need PRINCE2 Foundation or an accepted equivalent first. You do not need years of experience, but the training assumes core PRINCE2 knowledge and builds applied, scenario-based capability on top of it.

    What learning resources are provided?

You receive accredited courseware aligned to PRINCE2 7, scenario-based exercises, practice questions and open-book exam technique guidance, along with learner support to help you move from study to certified.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PRINCE2 syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) and the PRINCE2 7 Practitioner Syllabus published by PeopleCert, so you prepare against the exam as it is set today.

How is the training delivered and how long is it?

The Practitioner course is typically delivered over about 16 hours of instruction, available as live online (virtual instructor-led), classroom or corporate formats. You can choose the schedule that fits your work commitments in Lausanne.

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?
