    General

Is the Change Management certification worth it in Zurich?

Yes. In Zurich, where banking, insurance and consulting run constant transformation, certified change practitioners are valued and in short supply. Change management skills in Switzerland average around CHF 120,000, and the credential opens roles from Change Manager to Head of Transformation.

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a two-level qualification covering the knowledge, models and practices needed to manage the people side of organisational change. Foundation validates your understanding of change concepts, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real change scenarios.

Who should take this change management course?

It suits change managers, project and programme managers, HR and organisational development practitioners, consultants and leaders who sponsor or deliver change. There are no formal prerequisites for the Foundation level, so it is open to professionals at any stage.

Which change management models does the syllabus cover?

The syllabus covers a broad set of models, including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, McKinsey 7-S, Schein's culture levels, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence.

    Is the certification recognised internationally?

Yes. The Change Management qualification is recognised across more than 150 countries and is well respected in the UK, Europe, Australia and other markets where change management is an established profession, including Switzerland.

    Pricing

How much does Change Management training cost in Zurich?

What is included in the course fee?

The training fee typically includes CMBoK-aligned courseware, case studies, Foundation and Practitioner mock exams, practice questions and learner support. Confirm whether exam vouchers are included when you request your quote.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

    Exam

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions with a single answer each, is closed book, and lasts 40 minutes. The pass mark is 50 percent, which is 25 out of 50 correct. It is usually taken at the end of the Foundation training.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book, using the Change Management Practitioner Guide. It has 5 scenario-based sections, each worth 16 marks for 80 marks in total, and lasts 2.5 hours. The pass mark is 50 percent, which is 40 out of 80 marks.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

You may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the exam. However, the scenario-based sections require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep knowledge of the models are both essential.

Which standard and syllabus are the exams based on?

The exams align to the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner syllabi and the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) from the Change Management Institute, with the current Change Management Practitioner Guide as the primary reference for the Practitioner level.

What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

You can resit either exam. Our programme includes mock exams, practice questions and first-attempt guidance to help you prepare thoroughly. Contact our team about resit arrangements and any retake support included in your plan.

    Course Content

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No prior experience is required for the Foundation level, making it beginner friendly. To sit the Practitioner exam you first need to hold the Change Management Foundation certification or an accepted equivalent.

What topics does the training cover?

The training covers five topic areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organisation, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management, at both knowledge and application levels.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and mock exams for both the Foundation and Practitioner levels, along with case studies and knowledge checks to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

How long is the training programme?

The combined Foundation and Practitioner programme is delivered as 40 hours of instructor-led training. The number of days varies with the schedule format, so the same content can run as intensive full days or spread across extended sessions.

Is the courseware aligned to the current syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the official Change Management Foundation and Practitioner syllabi, the CMBoK and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide, so you study the models and terminology the exams assess.

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website or by speaking to a learning advisor. Choose your format and batch, complete payment, and you receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. See upcoming batches to get started.
