    What is the format of the PMI-RMP exam?

    The PMI-RMP exam is closed book with multiple-choice questions in single-answer and multiple-answer formats. It is based on the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022, spanning five risk domains, and delivered via Pearson VUE online proctoring or a test centre.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 115 questions and a duration of 2.5 hours (150 minutes). Questions are distributed across the five domains: Risk Strategy and Planning, Risk Identification, Risk Analysis, Risk Response, and Monitor and Close Risks.

    What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and weights?

    Five domains per the January 2022 ECO: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%). Analysis is the largest single area.

    What are the eligibility requirements for PMI-RMP?

    There are three sets. Set A: a secondary diploma plus 36 months of risk experience in the last five years and 40 hours of risk education. Set B: a four-year degree plus 24 months and 30 hours. Set C: a GAC-accredited degree plus 12 months and 30 hours.

    What happens if I do not pass the first time?

    What will I learn in the PMI-RMP training?

    You will learn to set a risk strategy, identify threats and opportunities, run qualitative and quantitative analysis, plan and implement responses, and monitor and close risks. The content maps to all five domains of the January 2022 Examination Content Outline.

    Does the training satisfy the PMI-RMP education requirement?

    The 32 contact hours of instruction fully satisfy the 30-hour risk education requirement for Set B and Set C candidates. Set A candidates need 40 hours and should add at least eight further hours of risk education to meet the full requirement.

    Are practice tests and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams aligned to the 115-question, closed-book format, plus topic-wise quizzes, so you can find weak areas and build exam readiness before the real test.

    Which standards does the courseware follow?

    The courseware follows the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022 and draws on PMI's Practice Standard for Project Risk Management and the PMBOK Guide. It covers risk management in predictive, agile and hybrid environments.

    Do I need prior experience to follow the course?

    You can join the training with a project background even if risk is new to you, as the trainers build from the fundamentals. To sit the exam, though, PMI requires documented project risk management experience under one of the three eligibility sets.
