The PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) is PMI's specialist credential in project risk management. It recognises your expertise in assessing and identifying project risks, mitigating threats and capitalising on opportunities, and sets you apart from general project management practitioners.

Who should take PMI-RMP training in Bermuda?

The RMP suits risk analysts, project and programme managers, PMO professionals and risk consultants who specialise in, or are moving into, project risk roles. In Bermuda it is especially relevant to professionals in reinsurance, insurance-linked securities, banking and major construction.

Is the PMP required before the PMI-RMP?

No. The PMP is not a prerequisite for the PMI-RMP. You can apply directly based on your risk management experience and education. That said, many RMP holders also hold the PMP, as the two credentials are complementary.

How long is the PMI-RMP certification valid?

The PMI-RMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 PDUs in risk management topics within each three-year cycle through PMI's Continuing Certification Requirements system.

What is included in the PMI-RMP training fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, 32 contact hours of instruction, practice questions and mock exams, application guidance and learner support, plus a course completion certificate. Ask a learning advisor for a full inclusions list and a quote.

How much does the PMI-RMP exam cost?

For reference, PMI charges around USD 520 for members and USD 670 for non-members; verify current fees at pmi.org before applying. The Bermudian dollar is pegged 1:1 with the US dollar, so the exam fee is at par locally. The exam is billed separately by PMI and is not part of the training fee.

Do you offer corporate or group pricing in Bermuda?

What currency is the training billed in for Bermuda?

What if I do not pass the PMI-RMP exam the first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period, and our training is built around a first-time pass through domain-by-domain coverage and full mock exams. Re-examination fees apply to later attempts; confirm current amounts at pmi.org.

How many questions are on the PMI-RMP exam and how long is it?

The PMI-RMP exam has 115 questions and lasts 2.5 hours (150 minutes). It is closed book, with single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice questions.

What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and their weights?

There are five domains in the January 2022 Examination Content Outline: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-RMP?

PMI offers three routes. With a secondary diploma you need 36 months of project risk experience in the last 5 years and 40 hours of risk education; with a four-year degree, 24 months and 30 hours; with a GAC-accredited degree, 12 months and 30 hours. Experience must be specific to project risk.

Where can I take the PMI-RMP exam in Bermuda?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website once your application is approved.

What standard is the PMI-RMP exam based on?

The exam is based on the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022, aligned to the PMI Practice Standard for Project Risk Management and the PMBOK Guide. The 2022 outline covers predictive, agile and hybrid risk approaches.

Do I need prior experience to take this training?

You can join the training at any stage, and it is structured to build understanding step by step. Note that to sit the exam PMI requires documented project risk experience and education, which our advisors can help you map against the eligibility sets.

What topics does the PMI-RMP training cover?

The training covers all five domains: risk strategy and planning, risk identification, risk analysis, risk response, and monitoring and closing risks. It includes qualitative and quantitative tools such as probability-impact matrices, Monte Carlo simulation, decision trees and EMV.

Does this training satisfy the PMI-RMP education requirement?

Yes. The programme provides 32 contact hours, which fully satisfies the 30-hour risk management education requirement for eligibility Set B (four-year degree) and Set C (GAC-accredited degree). Set A candidates need 40 hours and should add supplementary study.

Are practice questions and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams mapped to the 115-question format, so you can identify weak areas and build readiness across all five domains before exam day.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PMI-RMP outline?
