The CAPM is valid for three years. Unlike the PMP, you renew it by retaking and passing the CAPM exam within the three-year cycle, not by earning PDUs.

    Exam

What does the CAPM exam cover?

The CAPM exam has 150 questions and lasts three hours (180 minutes). It is a closed-book exam using multiple-choice question formats.

Where can I take the CAPM exam?

You can take the exam via Pearson VUE's OnVUE online proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website.

What happens if I do not pass the first time?

You get up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Re-examination fees apply to later attempts, and our practice questions and mock exams help you prepare to pass on your first try.
