    How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

    The PfMP exam has 170 multiple-choice questions and a four-hour (240-minute) allotted time. It is closed book and delivered online via Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    What is the PfMP panel review?

    The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PfMP. A panel of portfolio management practitioners evaluates your documented experience. Both the panel review and the written exam must be passed to earn the credential.

    What is the passing score for the PfMP exam?

    PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. Results are set through psychometric analysis and reported by domain as above target, target, below target or needs improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

    What are the eligibility requirements for the PfMP exam?

    PMI offers three routes, each requiring 120 months (10 years) of business experience within the past 15 years: a secondary diploma plus 84 months of portfolio management experience; a bachelor's degree plus 48 months; or a GAC-accredited degree plus 36 months.
