    The CAPM exam covers four domains from the 2023 Examination Content Outline: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts, Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies, Agile Frameworks and Methodologies, and Business Analysis Frameworks. It is aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition.

    How many questions are on the CAPM exam and how long is it?

    The CAPM exam has 150 multiple-choice questions and you have three hours (180 minutes) to complete it. The exam is closed book and includes single-answer and multiple-answer question formats.

    Is there a fixed passing score?

    No. PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with performance feedback across the four CAPM domains, so aim for broad mastery of each.

    Where can I take the CAPM exam?

    You can sit the CAPM exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring system from home or the office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website.

    What happens if I do not pass the first time?

    You get up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility period from application approval. Our mock exams and trainer guidance are designed to help you pass on the first attempt, and re-examination fees apply to later attempts.
