    After CAPM

Eligible for project support roles across mining, energy, construction and government

    Today

Keen to contribute, but missing a shared project vocabulary

    After CAPM

Confident with PMI terminology, planning and delivery basics from day one

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is PMI's entry-level credential that demonstrates your understanding of fundamental project management knowledge, terminology and processes. It is designed for students, recent graduates, career changers and project team members with limited or no project experience who want to enter the profession.

    General

What is the CAPM certification and who is it for?

The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is PMI's entry-level credential that demonstrates your understanding of fundamental project management knowledge, terminology and processes. It is designed for students, recent graduates, career changers and project team members with limited or no project experience who want to enter the profession.

Is the CAPM worth it for a project career in Perth?

Yes. CAPM is a globally recognised PMI credential that signals verified project knowledge to Perth employers across mining, energy, construction and government. With the state's large project pipeline, it helps graduates and career changers move into project administrator, officer and coordinator roles.

Do I need project experience to take CAPM?

No. CAPM is the only PMI practitioner credential that requires no project management work experience. You need a secondary degree, such as a high school diploma or global equivalent, plus 23 hours of project management education, which this training provides.

How long is the CAPM certification valid?

CAPM is valid for three years from the date of certification. Unlike PMP, you renew CAPM by retaking and passing the CAPM exam within the three-year cycle rather than by earning PDUs.

How does CAPM differ from PMP?

CAPM is the entry-level PMI credential that requires only 23 hours of project management education and no work experience. PMP is the advanced credential that requires 36 to 60 months of leading projects. CAPM is the natural first step for professionals building toward PMP eligibility.

    Pricing

What is included in the CAPM course fee?

The training fee includes PMI-aligned courseware, 23 hours of project management education, case studies, practice questions, mock exams and learner support. The PMI exam fee is paid separately to PMI. Request a quote for current pricing in your preferred format.

How much does the CAPM exam cost?

PMI bills the CAPM exam fee separately under regional pricing, and it is lower for PMI members than non-members. Membership can also reduce the exam cost and gives free access to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition. Confirm current fees on pmi.org before you apply.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

The training fee and the PMI exam fee are separate. Your enrolment covers the instructor-led CAPM training and preparation resources, while the exam is purchased directly from PMI. Talk to a learning advisor about what your chosen plan includes.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing in Perth?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for graduate cohorts and project teams in Perth. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.
