    What is the format of the CAPM exam?

    The CAPM exam has 150 questions to be completed in three hours (180 minutes). It is a closed-book, multiple-choice exam delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a test centre, based on the CAPM ECO effective 2023.

    What does the CAPM exam cover?

    The exam covers four domains from the 2023 CAPM ECO: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (36%), Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies (17%), Agile Frameworks and Methodologies (20%), and Business Analysis Frameworks (27%).

    Is there a fixed passing score for the CAPM exam?

    No. PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage. Results are reported with performance feedback, so aim for broad mastery across all four CAPM domains.

    How many attempts do I get for the CAPM exam?

    You get up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from the date your application is approved. Reexamination fees apply to later attempts.
