Who should take PfMP certification training?

How much does PfMP training cost in Australia?

PfMP training fees in Australia vary by format and provider and are available on request. The PMI exam fee is billed separately in USD under regional pricing and is not part of the training fee. Request a quote for current pricing.

What is included in the PfMP course fee?

The fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, exam simulator access, downloadable templates, application and panel-review support, learner support, and a course completion certificate with contact hours.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PfMP exam fee separately in USD. For reference, it is around USD 800 for members and USD 1,000 for non-members; verify the current fees with PMI before applying.

Does PMI membership reduce the cost?

Yes. PMI individual membership, around USD 139 per year (verify with PMI), lowers the exam fee and gives free access to the Standard for Portfolio Management. It can offset much of its own cost for candidates.

What if I do not pass the PfMP exam first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts, and our training includes practice and revision support to help you prepare thoroughly.

What is the format of the PfMP exam?

The PfMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PfMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Portfolio Management, 4th Edition, with scenario-based questions across five performance domains.

How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 170 questions, of which 150 are scored and 20 are unscored pretest items, and you have four hours (240 minutes) to complete it.

What is the passing score for the PfMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. Results are determined through psychometric analysis and reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

Where can I take the PfMP exam?

You can take the exam via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre, including centres across Australia, within your one-year eligibility period.

What is the PfMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to PfMP. A panel of portfolio management practitioners evaluates your documented experience, and you must pass both the panel review and the written exam to earn the credential.

Can I take PfMP training without senior experience?

Anyone can attend the training, but sitting the PfMP exam requires PMI's experience prerequisites. The programme still builds portfolio skills and helps you prepare to meet the requirements and document experience for the application.

What topics are covered in the PfMP training?

The training covers the five domains: strategic alignment (25%), governance (20%), portfolio performance (25%), portfolio risk management (14%) and communications management (16%), plus the application, panel review and exam strategy.

What learning resources are provided?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PfMP Examination Content Outline and Handbook, a Standard for Portfolio Management overview, templates, flashcards and topic-wise quizzes.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator and topic-wise quizzes to help you find weak areas and build exam readiness.
