    General

    What is the PMP certification?

The PMP is the Project Management Institute's flagship credential and the global standard for project managers. It validates your ability to lead and direct projects and teams using predictive, agile and hybrid approaches, and is recognised by employers in over 200 countries.

Who should take PMP training in Tanzania?

PMP training suits project managers, team leads, coordinators and delivery professionals in Tanzania who lead projects in mining, construction, telecoms, ICT, banking or the public sector and want a globally recognised credential to advance their careers.

Is the PMP recognised in Tanzania?

Yes. The PMP is a globally recognised PMI credential valued by employers across Tanzania and worldwide, including telecoms, banks, mining companies and infrastructure firms that run large, high-value projects.

Is the PMP worth it for professionals in Tanzania?

Yes. PMP-certified professionals report notably higher median pay than non-certified peers, and demand is rising as Tanzania scales mega-infrastructure, mining and digital projects. It positions you for project manager, programme manager and PMO roles. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

How long is the PMP valid?

The PMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year continuing certification cycle.

    Pricing

How much does PMP training cost in Tanzania?

PMP training fees vary by format, such as live online or corporate group training, and are available on request. The fee covers courseware, practice questions, mock exams and application support. The PMI exam fee is billed separately. Request a quote for current pricing.

What is included in the PMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, the 35 contact hours needed to apply, practice questions, mock exams, exam simulator access, downloadable templates, application guidance, learner support and a course completion certificate.

How much is the PMP exam fee?

PMI bills the exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing. For reference, it is around USD 405 for PMI members and USD 555 for non-members, and these figures can change. Confirm the current fee on pmi.org before you apply.

    Exam

How many questions are on the PMP exam and how long is it?

The PMP exam has 180 questions and lasts 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes), including two 10-minute scheduled breaks. It uses multiple question types, including multiple choice, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank.

What does the PMP exam cover?

The exam is based on the PMP Examination Content Outline aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition. It spans project management fundamentals, predictive plan-based methodologies, agile frameworks, business analysis and strategic management, and stakeholder engagement and communication.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMP exam?

There are two paths. With a four-year degree you need 36 months of leading projects plus 35 contact hours of project management education. With a secondary diploma you need 60 months of leading projects plus the same 35 contact hours, which this training provides.

What is the passing score for the PMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. The result is determined through psychometric analysis, and you receive domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all domains.

Where can I take the PMP exam?

You can sit the exam online via Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website.

What is the exam application process?

Create a PMI account, document your education and project leadership experience, and submit the online application. PMI reviews it, and if selected for audit you supply supporting documents. Once approved, you pay the fee and schedule the exam within your one-year eligibility, with up to three attempts.

    Course Content

What will I learn in the PMP course?

You will learn to lead projects across predictive, agile and hybrid approaches, covering planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk, procurement, quality, team leadership, business analysis and stakeholder engagement, mapped to the current PMP Examination Content Outline.

Is the course aligned to the latest PMBOK Guide?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition and the current PMP Examination Content Outline, so you study the latest standard PMI uses for the exam.

Does the PMP course cover agile?

Yes. Around half the exam reflects agile or hybrid approaches, and the training covers Scrum, Kanban, Lean and hybrid delivery alongside predictive methods, so you are ready for modern project environments.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?
