    For Individuals

    For Individuals

Hands-on Jira skills turn you from an occasional user into a confident practitioner who can run delivery end to end. This training suits developers, testers, Scrum Masters, business analysts, project managers and anyone who plans or tracks work in Jira. Whether you are joining a team that already runs on Jira, moving into a Scrum or delivery role, or taking ownership of your organisation's Jira setup, you build capability that shows on the job from the first week.

If you want practical, job-ready proficiency rather than theory, this is a clear path forward. You leave able to configure projects, manage sprints and boards, report on progress and, at Advanced level, administer Jira for your whole team.

    For Organizations

    For Organizations

Group Jira training helps organisations get consistent, reliable delivery data from Jira by equipping teams with a shared, practical way of working. The training can be delivered for software squads, QA teams, PMOs or mixed delivery groups. For organisations that want dependable boards, clean reporting and less manual admin, this training provides a scalable, flexible solution built around your own projects.

If your teams use Jira inconsistently and reporting cannot be trusted, group training creates one shared standard. Teams learn the same conventions for boards, workflows, schemes and automation, so delivery data becomes something leaders can act on.

    • Standardise how teams plan, track and report work in Jira across the organisation
    • Improve sprint predictability with consistent boards, workflows and reporting
    • Reduce delivery risk through well-designed schemes, permissions and automation
    • Upskill entire software, QA and PMO teams together on your own Jira instance
    • Connect Jira to Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub and CI/CD for end-to-end visibility
    • Cut manual admin with automation rules and cleaner Jira governance
    • Flexible onsite and live virtual delivery for teams in Kigali and across Rwanda

Yes. Jira is the standard delivery tool for Agile teams, and Rwanda's software, fintech, telecom and public-sector employers increasingly expect it. Practical Jira skills help you contribute from day one and make you competitive for developer, Scrum Master, business analyst and Jira admin roles.

Do I need prior Jira experience to join?

No prior experience is needed for the Fundamentals level, which is designed for people new to Jira. The Advanced level assumes you have completed Fundamentals or have equivalent hands-on Jira experience.

Which version of Jira does the course cover?

The training is based on Jira Cloud, Atlassian's primary and most widely used delivery model. The skills transfer directly to Jira Data Center, so you can apply them whichever deployment your organisation runs.

Which roles use Jira skills day to day?

Software developers, QA testers, Scrum Masters, Agile coaches, product owners, business analysts, project managers, DevOps engineers and Jira administrators all use Jira daily to plan, track and deliver work.

    Pricing

How much does JIRA training cost in Rwanda?

Fees depend on the level you choose, the delivery format and whether you train individually or as a group, so pricing is available on request. Share your requirements and a learning advisor will send a tailored quote.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led sessions, hands-on Jira exercises, structured courseware and learning resources, learner support, and a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. Ask your advisor for the exact inclusions of your chosen format.

Do you offer corporate or group pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for software, QA, PMO and mixed delivery teams. Contact us for a group quote for your organisation.

Are there any separate exam fees?

No. This is a non-certification skills course with no examination, so there are no exam fees. You pay only for the training itself.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Assessment

Is there an exam for the JIRA training?

No. Both the Fundamentals and Advanced levels are non-certification courses with no examination. Learning is reinforced through live, hands-on Jira exercises throughout each programme.

Do I receive a certificate after the training?

Yes. You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning once you complete the programme. It is a record of completion rather than a formal external credential.

    How is my learning assessed?

There is no formal assessment. You build proficiency through practical Jira exercises and configuration activities completed alongside the trainer using realistic delivery scenarios.

How long is each level of the training?

The Fundamentals level runs for 2 days (16 hours) and the Advanced level for 3 days (24 hours). Both are available as full-day or extended half-day formats to fit your schedule.

Should I take Fundamentals or Advanced?

Choose Fundamentals if you are new to Jira or use it only occasionally and want solid day-to-day skills. Choose Advanced if you already use Jira and want to master workflows, schemes, automation, advanced JQL and administration. You can take them independently or in sequence.

    Course Content

What does the Fundamentals level cover?

Fundamentals covers Jira navigation, creating projects, the issue hierarchy, Scrum boards and sprint management, Kanban boards and WIP limits, roadmaps and versions, saved filters, basic JQL, and the core Agile reports such as Velocity and Burndown.

What does the Advanced level cover?

Advanced covers custom workflow design, permission, notification, screen and field configuration schemes, custom fields, advanced JQL, dashboards, Jira automation, integrations with Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub and CI/CD, and Jira administration and governance.

Can a complete beginner take this course?

Yes. The Fundamentals level assumes no prior Jira knowledge and starts from the basics. Familiarity with general Agile or project concepts is helpful but not required, and the trainer supports you through every exercise.

Do I need my own Jira access for the course?

You should have access to a Jira environment for the hands-on exercises. Jira Cloud offers a free tier for up to 10 users, and you can confirm with our team whether a shared training environment is provided for your session.

Does the course cover JQL and reporting?

Yes. Fundamentals covers filters, basic JQL and core Agile reports, while Advanced extends this to complex JQL with the CHANGED and WAS operators, dashboards and gadgets, and management-level reporting.
