Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The Change Management Foundation and Practitioner qualification validates your knowledge and applied skill in managing the people side of organizational change. Foundation covers change concepts and models; Practitioner proves you can apply them to real scenarios. It is awarded through the Change Management Institute and Agile Business Consortium.

    General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

The Change Management Foundation and Practitioner qualification validates your knowledge and applied skill in managing the people side of organizational change. Foundation covers change concepts and models; Practitioner proves you can apply them to real scenarios. It is awarded through the Change Management Institute and Agile Business Consortium.

Is the Change Management certification worth it in Puerto Rico?

Yes. Puerto Rico's pharmaceutical, banking, fintech and public-sector employers are navigating digital transformation and restructuring, and certified change practitioners remain scarce. The credential positions you for change manager, HR business partner and transformation roles that pay above general management bands.

    Who should take this course?

The course suits change managers, project managers, HR business partners, OD practitioners, consultants and senior leaders who sponsor or deliver organizational change. There are no formal prerequisites for Foundation, so professionals at any career stage can start.

What standard is the course based on?

The course is grounded in the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK), maintained by the Change Management Institute, and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide. It aligns to the official Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi.

    Do the certifications expire?

Validity and any renewal requirements are set by the certification body, so verify current details with Invensis Learning before you enroll. The knowledge itself, built on established models like ADKAR and Kotter, stays relevant across your career.

    Pricing

How much does Change Management training cost in Puerto Rico?

Training is usually purchased as a combined package covering both Foundation and Practitioner levels and the two exams. Pricing varies by format and schedule and is quoted in US dollars. Request a current quote from a learning advisor for pricing in Puerto Rico.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes 40 hours of instructor-led training, courseware aligned to both exam syllabi, industry case studies, Foundation and Practitioner mock exams, and open-book exam technique practice. Confirm exam voucher inclusion with Invensis Learning.

    Are the exam fees included?

Exam voucher inclusion varies by package. Some packages bundle both the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers, while others price them separately. Confirm what your package covers with a learning advisor before enrolling.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customized schedules and volume-based pricing for teams in Puerto Rico. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with installment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

How many exams are in the combined program?

Two separate exams. The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions in 40 minutes, closed book, with a 50% pass mark (25 of 50). The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections worth 16 marks each (80 total) over 2.5 hours, open book, with a 50% pass mark (40 of 80).

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam is closed book with 50 single-answer multiple-choice questions and a 40-minute duration. You pass with 50%, meaning 25 correct out of 50. It is delivered by online proctoring or at an authorized test center.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

The Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the Practitioner exam. However, the five scenario-based sections require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep model knowledge are both essential.

What are the prerequisites for each exam?

Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. The Practitioner exam requires Change Management Foundation certification or an accepted equivalent. The combined program prepares you for both, taken sequentially.

What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

Our training includes mock exams, scenario practice and first-attempt guidance to prepare you for both exams. Retake and resit policies are set by the certification body, so ask a learning advisor about the current policy and any retake support.

    Course Content

What topics does the course cover?

The course covers five topic areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organization, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management. Foundation builds knowledge; Practitioner develops applied skill.

What change models will I learn?

You will learn ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, the McKinsey 7-S Framework, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence domains and Cialdini's principles of influence.

Do I need prior experience to start?

No. Foundation has no formal prerequisites, so beginners and experienced professionals alike can start. The training builds from core concepts to applied practice, with case studies and mock exams to support you throughout.

    How long is the training?

The combined Foundation and Practitioner program is delivered as 40 hours of instructor-led training. The number of days depends on the schedule format, from intensive full-day sessions to extended part-time schedules.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive courseware aligned to both exam syllabi, industry-driven change management case studies, Foundation and Practitioner practice questions, and open-book exam technique guidance for the Practitioner exam.

    Enrollment

How do I enroll in the course?

You can enroll through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing a batch.

    What training formats are available?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, onsite classroom training, and focused one-to-one sessions. Teams in Puerto Rico can also book customized corporate group training.

    When can I start?

Can I get training for my team?

Yes. We deliver corporate group training for change, HR, PMO and transformation teams across Puerto Rico, with customized content and flexible onsite or live virtual delivery. Request a group quote to get started.
