Is PRINCE2 recognised internationally?

Yes. PRINCE2 is one of the most widely recognised project management methods in the world, with particular strength across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. PeopleCert operates in over 200 countries, and more than one million PRINCE2 certificates have been issued worldwide.

What is new in PRINCE2 7 compared with PRINCE2 6?

PRINCE2 7 (2023) introduces the People capability covering leadership, stakeholder engagement and team management, renames Themes to Practices, and integrates agile, sustainability and commercial management across the method. Our courseware is aligned to this current edition.

How long is the PRINCE2 certification valid?

Both PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner are valid for three years. Foundation is renewed by earning 60 CPD points, and Practitioner can be renewed by re-taking the exam, completing CPD via a MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher-level PRINCE2 qualification.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

PeopleCert bills the Foundation and Practitioner exam fees, and some packages bundle the exam vouchers while others price them separately. Ask a learning advisor which option applies to your chosen plan so there are no surprises.

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 60 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 60 minutes. It is closed book, and the passing score is 60%, which is 36 out of 60 correct. It tests your knowledge and comprehension of the PRINCE2 method.

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, completed in 150 minutes. It is open book, so the PRINCE2 7 manual is permitted, and the passing score is 60%, which is 42 out of 70 marks. It is scenario-based and tests application and tailoring.

What are the prerequisites for the two exams?

Foundation has no prerequisites and is open to all. Practitioner requires PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA Level A to D. The combined programme takes you through Foundation first, then Practitioner.

Where and how do I sit the PRINCE2 exams?

Both exams are delivered by PeopleCert, either online through its OnVUE proctoring system, available 24/7, or at an authorised test centre. They are usually arranged as part of your combined training and exam package.

What if I do not pass an exam the first time?

You can re-sit a PeopleCert exam by booking a re-take; re-examination fees apply. Our training includes mock exams, practice questions and exam-day technique to help you prepare thoroughly and reduce the chance of needing a re-sit.

What topics does the PRINCE2 training cover?

The programme covers the seven PRINCE2 principles, the seven practices (business case, organising, plans, quality, risk, issues and progress), the seven processes from Starting Up to Closing a Project, the People capability, and tailoring, plus preparation for both exams.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No. Foundation has no prerequisites, so beginners are welcome. The training builds from the basics before moving into the applied, scenario-based content needed for Practitioner, so both newcomers and experienced project staff can follow it.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes for both levels, so you can identify weak areas, practise the open-book Practitioner technique and build exam readiness.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PRINCE2 edition?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) and the PRINCE2 7 Managing Successful Projects manual, so you learn the current method used in the Foundation and Practitioner exams.

Will I receive a certificate of completion after the training?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. Your official PRINCE2 credentials come from PeopleCert once you pass the Foundation and Practitioner exams.
