    How is my learning assessed?

    There is no formal assessment or pass mark. Practical exercises, discussions and retrospectives help you apply the concepts and confirm your understanding during the two-day programme.

    Will I receive a certificate of completion?

    Yes. You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning that recognises your learning achievement. It is not a credential from an external body, as this is a skills-focused foundation course.

    Is this course tied to a governing body?

    No. Project Management Fundamentals is a provider-defined, method-neutral foundation course not tied to any accrediting body. It gives you a base you can build on toward CAPM, PMP or PRINCE2.

    What can I do after completing the training?

    You can apply the fundamentals to real projects at work and, if you wish, progress toward further study such as CAPM, PMP or PRINCE2. The skills you learn do not require renewal.

    Course Content

    What topics does the course cover?

    The course covers five modules: project management concepts, project influences, the role of the project manager, the project management cycle, and an Agile projects overview, spanning the full lifecycle from initiation to closure.

    Can a beginner take this course?

    Yes. The course is built for beginners and teaches the fundamentals from first principles, with hands-on exercises and trainer support, so no prior project experience is needed.

    How long is the training?

    The programme runs over two days (16 hours), and can also be delivered across four half-days. It covers the fundamentals through lectures, interactive discussions and hands-on exercises.

    Does the course cover Agile?

    Yes. Alongside predictive, plan-based methods, the course includes an overview of Agile ways of working, covering Agile release planning and the Scrum process in brief.

    What materials and support are provided?

    You get structured courseware created by subject-matter experts, hands-on exercises and access to project management resources, plus post-training support from Invensis Learning.
