Market Forces Driving Risk Management Demand in Latvia

    Mega-Project Risk Exposure

Rail Baltica faces cost and schedule pressure at scale, needing structured risk identification, quantitative analysis and monitoring, the exact competencies the PMI-RMP develops.

PMI-RMP builds risk aggregation and monitoring skills

    EU Fund Absorption Pressure

Latvia must deploy around EUR 1.8 billion under NextGenerationEU to tight deadlines, so programmes need disciplined risk response and reserve planning to protect delivery and value.

PMI-RMP builds planning and response skills

    Banking and Regulatory Risk

Latvia's finance sector runs change and compliance programmes under close supervision, driving demand for professionals who can govern project risk to a recognised standard.

    PMI-RMP strengthens risk governance skills

    Scarce Certified Risk Talent

Latvia has a deep pool of project managers but few credentialed risk specialists. The PMI-RMP's specialist focus makes holders rare and highly visible to employers.

PMI-RMP makes certified specialists stand out

    Energy and Supply Volatility

Energy price shocks and supply uncertainty ripple into project cost and schedule, so employers value professionals who can model exposure and plan credible responses.

PMI-RMP builds threat and opportunity analysis

    Strategy-To-Delivery Risk Gap

Transformation and capex programmes stall when risk is tracked informally. Certified risk leaders close the gap between funded plans and reliable, on-target delivery.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMI-RMP exam?

The PMI-RMP exam has 115 questions to be completed in 2.5 hours (150 minutes). It is closed book with multiple-choice questions, based on the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022, and delivered via Pearson VUE online proctoring or a test centre.

What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and weights?

The January 2022 ECO defines five domains: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-RMP?

You meet one of three sets: with a secondary diploma, 36 months of risk experience in the last 5 years plus 40 hours of risk education; with a four-year degree, 24 months plus 30 hours; or with a GAC-accredited degree, 12 months plus 30 hours. Experience must be specifically in project risk.

What if I do not pass the PMI-RMP the first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Our practice questions, mock exams and trainer guidance are designed to build readiness so you go in prepared. Re-examination fees apply to later attempts; confirm current amounts at pmi.org.

Is there a fixed passing score for the PMI-RMP?

PMI does not publish a fixed numeric pass mark. The result is set through psychometric analysis and reported with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

    Course Content

What will I learn in the PMI-RMP training?

The course covers identification techniques such as brainstorming, Delphi and SWOT, qualitative tools like the probability and impact matrix, and quantitative methods including Monte Carlo simulation, decision trees, sensitivity analysis and expected monetary value.

Do I need prior experience to follow the training?

The training is built for professionals with some project exposure, and the trainer supports you through each domain with practical examples. To sit the PMI-RMP exam you also need the risk experience and education PMI specifies for one of its eligibility sets.

Is the courseware aligned with the current PMI-RMP standard?

Yes. The courseware aligns to the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022, and to PMI's Practice Standard for Project Risk Management and the PMBOK Guide, covering predictive, agile and hybrid delivery.
