    General

Is the Business Analysis Foundation and Practitioner certification worth it in Latvia?

Yes. Business analysis is in strong demand across Latvia's IT, global business services and banking sectors, where analyst roles average around €25,000 and senior bands reach near €32,000 a year. The dual EXIN BCS credential validates both knowledge and applied skill, helping you stand out in a market with a growing ICT skills shortage.

What are the EXIN BCS Business Analysis certifications?

The EXIN BCS Foundation Certificate validates knowledge of business analysis concepts and techniques, and the Practitioner Certificate validates the ability to apply them in real scenarios. Both are awarded by EXIN in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and aligned to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.

Who should take this business analysis course?

It suits aspiring analysts, project managers, IT professionals moving into analysis, and practising analysts formalising their experience. The Foundation level is open to everyone, and the combined programme gives a complete entry-to-practitioner pathway.

    Are the certifications recognised internationally?

Yes. EXIN operates in over 165 countries and BCS is the UK's chartered professional body for IT. The combined credential is well recognised across Latvia, Europe, the UK and Commonwealth markets, and internationally.

How long are the certifications valid?

Both the Foundation and Practitioner certifications are valid for life. Neither expires, and there is no renewal, re-examination or continuing education requirement.

    Exam

What is the format of the two exams?

Both exams are closed book with 40 multiple-choice questions and a 65% pass mark (26 of 40). The Foundation exam tests knowledge across 14 topic areas, while the Practitioner exam uses scenario-based questions across seven topic areas. Each lasts 60 minutes.

How many exams are in the combined programme?

There are two separate EXIN examinations: the Foundation exam and the Practitioner exam. You must sit and pass both to hold both credentials.

Are there any prerequisites for the exams?

The Foundation level has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. The Foundation Certificate is the recommended prerequisite before sitting the Practitioner exam.

Where can I take the EXIN exams?

Both exams are available through EXIN online proctoring or at EXIN accredited testing locations, and are typically arranged as part of the combined training and dual-exam package with your accredited training provider.

What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

You can re-sit the exam by purchasing another voucher; EXIN re-sit policy and fees vary by region. Our trainers provide focused revision guidance and mock exams to help you pass on your first attempt. Talk to an advisor about retake support.
