Is the ITIL 5 Bridge worth it for professionals in Latvia?

Yes. Latvia's IT outsourcing, global business services and banking employers run modern service desks and increasingly expect the latest ITIL version. A current ITIL 5 credential signals up to date capability and supports progression into senior service management roles.

Do I need ITIL 4 Foundation before taking the bridge?

Yes. ITIL 4 Foundation is the formal prerequisite for the bridge. If you do not hold ITIL 4 Foundation, you should take the full ITIL 5 Foundation course and exam instead. The bridge assumes your ITIL 4 knowledge and does not re-test it.

How long is the ITIL 5 Foundation credential valid?

Which body awards the ITIL 5 credential?

What is the format of the ITIL 5 Bridge exam?

The bridge exam is closed book with multiple-choice, single-answer questions. It tests only what is new and changed in ITIL 5 across five topic areas, not the full ITIL 5 Foundation syllabus, since your ITIL 4 knowledge is assumed.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The ITIL 5 Bridge exam has 20 questions and a duration of 30 minutes. It is a focused exam designed to confirm your understanding of the ITIL 5 updates relative to ITIL 4.

What is the passing score for the bridge exam?

You need to answer 13 of the 20 questions correctly, which is 65 percent, to pass. Focus your preparation on the new and updated ITIL 5 concepts covered across the five topic areas.

How is the exam delivered in Latvia?

You can sit the exam online proctored through the PeopleCert system, which is available around the clock, or at a PeopleCert authorised test centre. Both options are available to candidates in Latvia.

What happens if I do not pass the first time?

You can resit the exam with PeopleCert. Re-sit policies and fees are set by PeopleCert, and our training includes revision support to help you prepare with confidence. Confirm current re-sit terms with PeopleCert before booking.

What does the ITIL 5 Foundation Bridge cover?

The bridge covers five topic areas: the key enhancements in ITIL 5, digital product and service management evolution, updated language and core concepts, the enhanced value creation approach, and applying ITIL 5 in practice. It focuses only on what changed from ITIL 4.

How is ITIL 5 different from ITIL 4?

ITIL 5 introduces the product and service lifecycle as a core structure, evolves the ITIL Value System, adds value stream management, and explicitly addresses digital and AI-enabled environments. It also updates terminology and extends the value co-creation model.

Do I need prior experience beyond ITIL 4 Foundation?

No additional formal experience is required beyond ITIL 4 Foundation. The bridge is built for practising ITSM professionals, so day to day service management experience helps you apply the updated concepts, but it is not a separate entry requirement.

What learning resources are provided?
