What happens if I do not pass the PgMP exam first time?

How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

The PgMP exam has 170 questions and a four-hour (240-minute) allotted time. It is closed book and uses multiple-choice question formats based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline.

Five performance domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%), based on the current PgMP ECO.

What is the passing score for the PgMP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback (Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement), so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is a mandatory step alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

Where can I take the PgMP exam?

You can take the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctored system or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through Pearson VUE or the PMI portal within your one-year eligibility window.

Do I need prior experience to take the PgMP training?

Anyone can attend the training, but to sit the exam PMI requires substantial experience under one of three sets: a degree plus qualifying project and programme management months within the last 15 years. An active PMP satisfies the project management experience.

What topics are covered in the PgMP training?

The training covers all five performance domains: Strategic Program Management, Program Life Cycle Management, Benefits Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Governance, plus the application, panel review and exam strategy.

Which standard is the PgMP course based on?

The course is aligned to the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition, from PMI, so your preparation matches the current exam and reference framework.

Are practice tests, mock exams and assignments included?
