What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, runs for 150 minutes and is open book, with the PRINCE2 manual permitted. You need 60%, or 42 marks, to pass. It tests applying and tailoring PRINCE2 to project scenarios.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

Open book means you may refer to the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects (7th Edition) manual during the Practitioner exam. Questions require analysis and judgement rather than simple look-up, so time management and familiarity with the manual are essential.

Where can I sit the PRINCE2 exams?

Both exams are delivered by PeopleCert, either online through the OnVUE proctoring system, available 24/7, or at an authorised test centre. They are usually arranged as part of a combined training and dual-exam package.
