    What is the format of the PfMP exam?

    The PfMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PfMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition. It uses scenario and situational questions across the five performance domains.

    How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours (240 minutes). It is delivered via Pearson VUE, either online proctored through OnVUE or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    What are the PfMP exam domains and their weights?

    Five domains: Strategic Alignment (25%), Governance (20%), Portfolio Performance (25%), Portfolio Risk Management (14%) and Communications Management (16%), all drawn from the current PfMP Examination Content Outline.

    What is the passing score for the PfMP exam?

    PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is determined through psychometric analysis and reported with domain-level feedback, so focus on broad mastery across all five performance domains.

    What is the PfMP panel review and what if I do not pass the exam?

    Do I need prior experience to attend the training?

    Anyone can attend the training to build portfolio knowledge and earn contact hours. To sit the PfMP exam, however, PMI requires substantial business and portfolio management experience, so the training also prepares you for the application and panel review.

    What are the eligibility requirements to sit the PfMP exam?

    Under Set A you need a secondary diploma with about 120 months of business experience and 84 months of portfolio experience; under Set B a four-year degree with 120 months of business experience and 48 months of portfolio experience, all within the last 15 years, plus the panel review.

    How do I enrol in the PfMP course?

    You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing.

    What training formats are available online or in classroom?
