What Is the CAPM Credential and What Does It Prove?UntitledYour Entry Route into Project Management

The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is the Project Management Institute's entry-level credential, and CAPM certification training in Kazakhstan is the supported route to earning it. It proves you understand the terminology, processes and delivery approaches project teams use every day, without asking you to have led a project first. No work experience is required. The programme follows the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective January 2023, which PMI aligns to the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition and the Agile Practice Guide. You cover all four exam domains: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts, Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies, Agile Frameworks and Methodologies, and Business Analysis Frameworks. That blend matters here, because banks, IT firms and energy operators across Kazakhstan run plan-driven and agile work side by side. Our 24-hour instructor-led course delivers more than the 23 hours of project management education PMI requires, so you finish training eligible to apply. If you are ready to move from studying projects to running them, begin your CAPM journey with Invensis Learning.

Why Earning CAPM Pays off Early in Your CareerRecognition, Roles and Real Momentum

    For Individuals

    For Individuals

Certified CAPM training gives early-career professionals the one thing recruiters cannot see on a fresh CV: proof that you understand how projects actually work. The credential opens coordinator and analyst roles in Kazakhstan's IT, fintech, banking, telecoms and energy sectors, where project delivery is expanding faster than the pool of trained people. Whether you are finishing a degree, moving across from engineering, finance or marketing, or already supporting a project team and want the title to match the work, this training builds capability employers can verify.

You leave with the four exam domains covered, the education prerequisite satisfied, and a clear plan for the 150-question exam. That is a short, credible path from where you are now to a recognised PMI credential on your profile.

    • Enter project management with a PMI credential instead of waiting years for experience
    • Qualify for project coordinator, project administrator and PMO analyst openings
    • Show fluency in predictive, agile and hybrid delivery, all three in demand across Kazakhstan
    • Stand out in a shortlist where most junior applicants have no formal project credential
    • Earn a credential recognised by employers in more than 200 countries
    • Complete the 23 hours of project management education PMI requires in one programme
    • Build the foundation that leads to PMP once you have the leadership experience
    • Speak the language of sponsors, scope, schedule, risk and requirements from day one
    For Organizations

    For Organizations

Group CAPM training helps organisations in Kazakhstan close the gap between hiring project support staff and having them contribute. Teams learn one set of terms, one view of the project lifecycle, and one approach to scope, schedule, risk and requirements. For employers running digital transformation, core banking upgrades or capital projects, this is the most affordable way to raise baseline project capability across a whole intake.

Delivered onsite or live virtual, the programme can be scheduled around operational demands. Your teams gain practical project fundamentals, and your organisation gains a documented, PMI-aligned standard for how project work is planned and reported.

    • Give junior staff a shared project vocabulary before they join delivery teams
    • Reduce rework caused by unclear scope, weak requirements and missed dependencies
    • Build a certified bench of coordinators who can support senior project managers
    • Standardise how predictive and agile work is planned across business units
    • Strengthen graduate and internal mobility programmes with a recognised credential
    • Improve status reporting quality with people trained in performance measurement
    • Create a visible progression path from coordinator toward PMP eligibility
    • Deliver consistent training across teams in Almaty, Astana and beyond

What Is Driving Project Management Demand in Kazakhstan

    Digitalisation Outpacing Project Talent

With 2026 declared the Year of Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence, Kazakh employers are launching more projects than they have trained coordinators to support them.

    CAPM builds project fundamentals fast

    A Documented Skills Gap

The World Bank Jobs Diagnostic lists project management among Kazakhstan's most in-demand skills, yet most junior applicants arrive with no formal project credential at all.

CAPM proves the skill employers ask for

Predictive and Agile Running Side by Side

Banks and IT firms plan capital work predictively while shipping products in sprints. Teams need people who understand both, and hybrid delivery, not just one method.

    CAPM covers both delivery approaches

    Capital Projects at Scale

Kashagan gas processing plants, 30 new oil and gas fields, and a new refinery programme demand disciplined scope, schedule and risk control from the project support layer up.

CAPM builds scope, schedule and risk skills

    Weak Requirements, Costly Rework

Unclear requirements are a leading cause of failed digital projects. Business analysis frameworks carry real weight in the exam, so certified staff catch problems before build starts.

    CAPM covers business analysis frameworks

    High Turnover in Tech Teams

With many candidates changing jobs within three months, employers need a shared project vocabulary so new joiners contribute quickly instead of relearning local habits.

    CAPM standardises how teams work

Kazakhstan is short of people who can plan, track and report project work properly. CAPM is the credential that says you can. Take the first step into project management today.

    Your Kazakhstan Career Transformation

Before CAPM and After: How Your Standing Changes

    The Shift Employers Notice

Kazakhstan is running more projects than it has trained people to support, from bank super-app releases to gas processing plants. Employers are learning to tell the difference between candidates who have studied project delivery and candidates who have not. Here is which side of that line you want to be on.

    Today

Entry-level pay with little leverage to negotiate in the Kazakh market

    After CAPM

Project coordinator roles in Almaty average around 5.9 million tenge a year, with control and IT project roles reaching higher

    Today

Screened out of project roles that ask for demonstrated project knowledge

    After CAPM

Shortlisted for coordinator, PMO analyst and junior business analyst openings in fintech, banking, telecoms and energy

    Today

Capable at your job, but on the edge of the conversation when projects are planned

    After CAPM

Confident contributing to planning, tracking and reporting from your first week on a project

    You earn your CAPM

    Before

A CV with no verifiable proof of project management knowledge

    Now you have

A PMI credential that employers in Kazakhstan and 200-plus countries recognise

    Before

Familiar with project words, unsure how scope, schedule and risk fit together

    Now you have

Fluency in predictive, agile and hybrid delivery, plus business analysis frameworks

    Before

Unclear on how to become eligible for any PMI credential at all

    Now you have

The 23 hours of project management education PMI requires, already completed

    Before

No structured path from supporting projects to leading them

    Now you have

A visible first step on the route toward PMP once you gain leadership experience

The Project Management Skills You Will BuildPredictive, Agile and Hybrid Delivery

This programme takes you from project vocabulary to project capability across the four CAPM exam domains, following the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective January 2023 and the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition. By the end you can plan, track, report and question project work with confidence.

Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts

Skills covered in CAPM begin here. Tell projects, programmes and portfolios apart, work through the project lifecycle, read a project charter, understand the roles around you, and apply the PMI project management principles that anchor everything else you learn.

    Predictive Plan-Based Delivery

Work confidently across the five process groups. Build a work breakdown structure, sequence activities on a critical path, estimate cost, plan quality and procurement, and manage integrated change so a plan-driven project stays under control.

    Agile Frameworks and Hybrid Delivery

Apply the Agile Manifesto in practice. Run inside Scrum roles, events and artefacts, use Kanban boards and WIP limits, recognise Lean and XP practices, and understand when a hybrid of predictive and agile is the right call for the work in front of you.

    Business Analysis Frameworks

Turn a vague business need into something a team can build. Run needs assessments, elicit and document requirements, trace them through delivery, model processes clearly, and evaluate solution options against agreed acceptance criteria.

    Performance Tracking and Reporting

Measure whether a project is actually on track. Work with baselines, schedule and cost variance, SPI and CPI, and earned value fundamentals, then report progress to stakeholders in status reports and dashboards they can act on.

Exam Readiness for the CAPM Paper

Prepare for the real thing: 150 multiple-choice questions in three hours, closed book, taken online through Pearson VUE OnVUE or at a test centre. You practise against the four exam domains and learn how to manage your time under pressure.

What Our Learners in Kazakhstan Say

Moved into Project Delivery Without Prior Experience

"I came from a marketing background with no project experience, and the four domains were explained so clearly that the exam felt familiar. Three months later I moved into a project coordinator role at a fintech company in Almaty."

Predictive and Agile Finally Made Sense

"The agile and hybrid content was the most useful part. Our bank plans capital work predictively but ships product in sprints, and after the training I finally understood how both fit together on the same programme."

The Right First Credential for a Graduate

"As a recent graduate I needed something recruiters would actually recognise. The 24 hours covered the PMI education requirement, the practice questions were close to the real paper, and the trainer answered every question patiently."

"We put our graduate intake through the programme onsite. Within a quarter, status reports improved noticeably and new joiners stopped needing weeks of hand-holding before they could support a project properly."

    General

Is CAPM worth it, and what is the return in Kazakhstan?

Yes, if you want to enter project management without years of experience behind you. CAPM opens coordinator, PMO analyst and junior business analyst roles across Kazakhstan's fintech, banking, telecoms and energy sectors, where project coordinator salaries in Almaty average around 5.9 million tenge a year and rise from there. Talk to a learning advisor about which route fits you.

What is CAPM and who is it designed for?

CAPM is the Project Management Institute's entry-level project management credential. It is built for students, recent graduates, career changers and project team members who want to prove they understand project terminology, processes and delivery approaches. No project management work experience is required.

Do I need project experience to get CAPM certified?

No. CAPM is the only PMI practitioner credential that requires no project management work experience. You need a secondary degree, such as a high school diploma or global equivalent, plus 23 hours of project management education, which this training provides in full.

Is CAPM recognised by employers in Kazakhstan?

Yes. CAPM is a PMI credential recognised in more than 200 countries, and PMI standards are familiar to employers across Kazakhstan's banking, IT, telecoms, energy and construction sectors. With 2026 declared the Year of Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence, demand for people who understand project delivery is rising.

How long is CAPM valid and how do I renew it?

CAPM is valid for three years. Unlike PMP and other PMI credentials, you renew it by retaking and passing the CAPM exam within the three-year cycle, not by accumulating PDUs.

How does CAPM compare with PMP?

CAPM is the entry credential and PMP is the advanced one. CAPM needs a secondary degree plus 23 hours of project management education and no work experience. PMP requires 36 to 60 months of leading projects plus 35 contact hours. CAPM is the natural first step toward PMP.

    Pricing

What is included in the CAPM training fee?

The fee covers 24 hours of instructor-led training, PMI-aligned courseware, industry-driven case studies, CAPM practice questions and guidance on documenting your education for the PMI application. Training fees in Kazakhstan are available on request. Request a quote and we will confirm the current price in tenge.

Is the PMI exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the CAPM exam fee separately in USD through its own portal, with lower rates for PMI members than non-members. Confirm the current fee at pmi.org before you apply, as PMI updates its pricing periodically.

Is PMI membership worth taking before I book the exam?

For many candidates, yes. PMI membership reduces the exam fee and gives you free digital access to the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition and the Agile Practice Guide, both of which underpin the exam. Check current membership rates at pmi.org.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing in Kazakhstan?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams in Almaty, Astana and other locations, delivered onsite or live virtual. Ask about corporate and group pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and instalment options are available on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What happens if I do not pass the CAPM exam first time?

You get up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility window from application approval, so a first-attempt miss is not the end of the road. PMI charges a reduced re-examination fee for the second and third attempts. Your score report shows performance by domain, so you know exactly where to focus revision.

What is the CAPM exam format?

The CAPM exam has 150 multiple-choice questions and a three-hour (180-minute) time limit. It is closed book and can be taken online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring system or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

What does the CAPM exam cover?

The exam covers four domains from the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective January 2023: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (36%), Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies (17%), Agile Frameworks and Methodologies (20%), and Business Analysis Frameworks (27%).

Is there a fixed passing score for CAPM?

No. PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing standard rather than a published percentage. Results come back as pass or fail with domain-level feedback, so aim for solid command across all four domains rather than chasing a number.

Which standard and edition is the CAPM exam based on?

The exam follows the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective January 2023, which PMI aligns to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the Agile Practice Guide. Our courseware follows the same alignment.

How do I apply for and schedule the CAPM exam?

Create a PMI account, submit your application documenting your secondary degree and 23 hours of project management education, then pay the exam fee once approved. You schedule through Pearson VUE and have one year from approval to sit the exam.

    Course Content

Can a complete beginner take this course?

Yes. The programme is designed for people with little or no project management background, and CAPM itself requires no work experience. Concepts are built up from first principles, with case studies and practice questions to check understanding as you go.

What topics does the CAPM syllabus cover?

You cover the four exam domains: project management fundamentals and core concepts, predictive plan-based methodologies, agile frameworks and methodologies, and business analysis frameworks. That includes the process groups, WBS, critical path, earned value basics, Scrum, Kanban, requirements and solution evaluation.

Does this training satisfy PMI's 23-hour education requirement?

Yes. The programme runs to 24 hours of instructor-led training, which exceeds the 23 hours of project management education PMI requires before you sit the exam. It qualifies as an instructor-led CAPM course through the PMI Authorized Training Partner programme.

What materials and practice resources are provided?

You receive courseware aligned to the CAPM ECO and the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition, industry-driven case studies, and CAPM practice questions matched to the 150-question, three-hour exam format.

Does the course cover agile as well as traditional project management?

Yes, and that balance is deliberate. Agile frameworks carry 20% of the exam and predictive methodologies 17%, so you work through Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP and hybrid delivery alongside process groups, scheduling, cost and risk.
