Why Project Scheduling Skills Are in High Demand Across Kenya

Public Projects Stall on Capability, Not Cash

Experts note that many Kenyan public projects stall from a shortage of skilled planners rather than funding, so professionals who can build and control credible schedules are in demand.

    Build scheduling and control skills

    Vision 2030 Pipeline Complexity

Flagship programmes like Konza Technology City and the nationwide fibre rollout demand structured scheduling, resource planning and progress tracking across many concurrent workstreams.

    Learn to plan at scale

    Planning Trapped in Spreadsheets

Many teams still plan in spreadsheets that break at scale. Employers want people who can move plans into a structured tool with dependencies, baselines and reporting.

Move plans into a proper tool

    A Widening Talent Gap

PMI projects up to 30 million more project professionals will be needed by 2035, and Kenya's public and private sectors already report uneven project delivery capability.

    Become a sought-after planner

    Donor Accountability Pressure

NGO and development projects must track timelines, resources and spend against donor commitments, making rigorous scheduling and status reporting a core, hire-worthy skill.

    Master tracking and reporting

    Infrastructure and Construction Scale

Large construction and energy projects need critical-path planning, resource levelling and cost tracking to hit strict deadlines and safety milestones.
