PMI-CP certification training in Jordan prepares construction professionals to lead complex projects from pre-construction through closeout. The PMI Construction Professional (PMI-CP) is the Project Management Institute's specialist credential for the construction sector, validating your ability to deliver projects on time, within budget and to the required quality across the full build lifecycle. The credential is built on the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline (ECO) and the current edition of the PMBOK Guide. It concentrates on four construction domains: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%). Uniquely among PMI credentials, candidates complete four mandatory self-paced modules before applying. With Jordan investing over JOD 10 billion in mega-projects, water, transport and energy programmes, employers increasingly seek construction managers who hold a globally recognised, construction-specific credential. The PMI-CP (PMI Construction Professional) certification path in Jordan is a structured single-exam track. Skills You Will Build in This PMI-CP ProgrammeFrom Contracts to Closeout

In this PMI-CP programme you will learn to manage construction contracts, engage project stakeholders, control scope and establish governance across the full build lifecycle. Each capability maps to an official PMI-CP ECO domain, so your learning matches both the exam and the day-to-day job.

    Master Construction Contracts and Claims

Evaluate contract types and delivery methods, administer contracts, and manage variations, claims and disputes. This mirrors the PMI-CP Contracts Management domain, which carries 50% of the exam, so you build the sector's most valued skill first.

    Define and Control Project Scope

Set the project execution plan, baseline scope and schedule, run change control, and manage cost, risk and quality. Maps to the Strategy and Scope Management domain (15%), the discipline that keeps complex builds on budget.

    Establish Project Governance and Assurance

Build governance frameworks, reporting, document control, audits and compliance so decisions and accountability are clear. Reflects the Project Governance domain (5%) that underpins delivery on donor-funded and government projects.

    Manage Contract Risk and Insurance

Allocate contractual risk, verify insurance and bonds, and coordinate subcontracts and suppliers through the supply chain, so exposure on high-value construction contracts stays controlled from award to closeout.

Prepare with Confidence for the Exam

Practise against the 120-question, 230-minute closed-book format, work through scenario questions by domain, and get guidance on completing the four prerequisite modules and submitting a strong PMI-CP application.

    General

Is the PMI-CP certification worth it for construction professionals in Jordan?

Yes. PMI-CP is PMI's specialist construction credential, and with Jordan investing over JOD 10 billion in mega-projects, water, transport and energy programmes, employers value construction-specific project management skill. Construction project manager roles average around JOD 31,440 a year, with senior bands reaching higher. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

What is the PMI Construction Professional (PMI-CP) certification?

PMI-CP is the Project Management Institute's specialist credential for the construction industry. It validates your ability to apply project management in a construction environment across four domains: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%).

    Who should take PMI-CP training?

PMI-CP suits construction project managers, site managers, contracts and commercial managers, owner's representatives, and PMP holders working in construction. It is aimed at experienced practitioners who deliver building, civil or infrastructure projects and want a globally recognised, construction-specific credential.

Is a PMP required before PMI-CP?

No. PMP is not a prerequisite for PMI-CP. You can apply directly based on your construction project management experience and education. The two are complementary, PMP validating broad project management and PMI-CP validating construction-specific expertise, and many professionals hold both.

    Is the PMI-CP recognised internationally?

Yes. As a PMI credential, PMI-CP carries global recognition through PMI's network in over 200 countries. It is particularly valued in international construction markets across Jordan, the Gulf and beyond, where clients seek recognised project management credentials.

    Pricing

How much does PMI-CP training cost in Jordan?

Instructor-led PMI-CP training fees vary by format and schedule, and typically include courseware, practice questions, mock exams and application guidance. The PMI exam fee is billed separately by PMI in USD. Contact us for current pricing and to request a quote.

What is included in the PMI-CP course fee?

    Exam

What is the format of the PMI-CP exam?

The PMI-CP exam is closed book with multiple-choice questions (single-answer and multiple-answer). It is delivered online via Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre, and is based on the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline and the current edition of the PMBOK Guide.

How many questions are on the PMI-CP exam and how long is it?

The PMI-CP exam has 120 questions and an allotted time of 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes). Questions are distributed across the four construction domains defined in the ECO.

What are the PMI-CP exam domains and their weights?

There are four domains: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%). Contracts Management is the largest, reflecting the centrality of contracts and claims in construction delivery.

What are the prerequisites and eligibility for PMI-CP?

You must complete four mandatory self-paced modules (56 PDUs total) and meet one experience set: a secondary diploma plus 60 months construction project management experience, a bachelor's degree plus 36 months, or a GAC-accredited degree plus 24 months, all within the past 10 years, plus 35 contact hours of PM education.

What happens if I do not pass the PMI-CP exam first time?

You are permitted up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility window from application approval. Our training includes practice questions, mock exams and scenario work to prepare you thoroughly, and re-examination fees apply to later attempts.

    Course Content

What will I learn in the PMI-CP training?

You will learn to manage construction contracts and claims, engage owners, regulators and communities, define and control scope, and establish project governance. The syllabus maps directly to the four PMI-CP ECO domains so your learning matches the exam and the job.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

Anyone can attend the training, and it is designed to build capability progressively. To sit the PMI-CP exam, PMI requires construction project management experience and 35 contact hours of PM education, along with the four prerequisite modules. Our advisors can check your eligibility.
