    Yes. Jira is the standard delivery tool across Jordan's software, telecom, fintech and outsourcing teams, so hands-on Jira skills are widely expected by employers and immediately useful on the job.

    What are the two levels of the Jira course?

    Fundamentals (2 days, 16 hours) covers projects, issues, boards, sprints, roadmaps and reports. Advanced (3 days, 24 hours) covers workflows, schemes, JQL, dashboards, automation, integrations and administration. You can attend either level or both in sequence.

    Do I need prior Jira experience to join?

    Not for Fundamentals, which starts from the basics and needs no prior Jira knowledge. Advanced assumes you have completed Fundamentals or have equivalent hands-on experience using Jira.

    Which version of Jira does the course use?

    The training is delivered on current Jira Cloud, Atlassian's continuously updated platform and the way most teams run Jira in 2026. The concepts also apply to Jira Data Center for self-managed instances.

    Do I need to pay for Jira software separately?

    Jira Cloud offers a free tier for up to 10 users, which is enough for hands-on practice. Paid Jira plans are Atlassian products, so the course fee does not include a paid Jira licence.

    How is learning assessed on the Jira course?

    No. This is a practical skills course from Invensis Learning, not an Atlassian credential. It focuses on using and administering Jira confidently in real Agile delivery.

    Course Content

    What topics does the Fundamentals level cover?

    Project creation, the Epic, Story, Task, Bug and Subtask hierarchy, Scrum boards and sprints, Kanban boards and WIP limits, roadmaps and versions, filters, basic JQL and Agile reports such as velocity and burndown.

    What does the Advanced level cover?

    Advanced workflow design, permission, notification, screen and field schemes, custom fields, advanced JQL, dashboards, Jira automation, DevOps and Atlassian integrations, and Jira administration.

    Does the course include hands-on practice?

    Yes. Both levels are hands-on throughout. You follow live exercises using realistic Agile delivery scenarios in a Jira environment, building skills through practice rather than theory.

    Does it cover JQL and automation?

    Yes. Fundamentals introduces filters and basic JQL, while Advanced covers advanced JQL, dashboards and Jira automation rules, including triggers, conditions, actions and smart values.

    Are DevOps and Atlassian integrations included?

    Yes, at Advanced level. You learn to connect Jira with Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub and CI/CD pipelines for end-to-end delivery traceability, plus a Jira Service Management overview.
