    Assessment

    Is there an exam for Primavera P6 training?

    No. This is a non-certification skills course, so there is no examination at either level. Learning is reinforced through live, hands-on Primavera P6 exercises throughout the programme.

    What do I receive after completing the training?

    You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. There is no external credential or renewal to maintain; the practical P6 skills you build are immediately applicable at work.

    How are the skills assessed during the course?

    There is no formal assessment. You practise each feature through guided, hands-on exercises using realistic project scenarios, so you build genuine software proficiency as you progress through the modules.

    What will I be able to do after the Fundamentals level?

    You will be able to navigate P6, build the EPS, OBS and WBS, create activities and relationships, run the scheduler, interpret the critical path and float, assign resources, set the baseline, update progress and produce basic layouts and reports.

    What will I be able to do after the Advanced level?

    You will be able to cost-load and resource-load a schedule, calculate and report earned value, use Claim Digger to compare schedules, manage multiple projects with cross-project relationships, and build custom layouts and reports for project controls.

    Course Content

    What topics are covered in the training?

    Fundamentals covers the enterprise structure, activities, calendars, relationships, scheduling, the critical path, resources, baselines and progress. Advanced covers advanced scheduling, resource and cost loading, earned value, baseline management, Claim Digger, multi-project control and custom reporting.

    Does the training include hands-on Primavera P6 practice?

    Yes. Both levels are delivered with live P6 exercises throughout. You follow along in the software as the trainer demonstrates each feature, then practise on realistic construction and project scenarios.

    Do I need prior experience to join?

    No prior P6 experience is needed for Fundamentals; basic familiarity with project concepts helps but is not required. For Advanced, you should have completed Fundamentals or have equivalent hands-on P6 experience.

    How long is each level of the training?

    Fundamentals runs over 2 days (16 hours) and Advanced over 3 days (24 hours). Both are available as full-day or extended half-day formats. Ask our team about current scheduling options.

    Does the course cover earned value and cost control?

    Yes, at the Advanced level. You learn to cost-load the schedule, use cost accounts and resource curves, generate the S-curve, and calculate and report earned value metrics such as BCWS, BCWP, ACWP, SPI, CPI and estimate at completion.
