Skills You Will Master in This ProgrammeFrom DMAIC to Statistical Process Control

This Green Belt programme builds the practical, data-driven skills employers expect across the five DMAIC phases. By the end, you can lead a scoped improvement project, analyse data with statistical tools, and sustain results with robust controls.

    Define and Scope Improvement Projects

Build a business case and project charter, capture the voice of the customer, identify critical-to-quality characteristics, and map processes with SIPOC so every project starts with a clear, measurable goal.

    Measure Process Performance with Data

Apply process mapping, measurement system analysis, basic statistics and process capability to baseline performance using metrics such as DPMO, yield and cycle time.

    Analyse Root Causes Statistically

Use hypothesis testing, t-tests, ANOVA and tests for non-normal data to separate real causes of variation from noise and pinpoint what truly drives defects.

    Improve Processes with Proven Methods

Apply correlation, simple and multiple regression and designed experiments, including full factorial designs, to identify and validate the changes that deliver the biggest gains.

    Control and Sustain the Gains

Build control plans and statistical process control charts, and apply mistake-proofing techniques so improvements hold long after the project closes.

Apply Lean Tools to Eliminate Waste

Use 5S, value stream mapping, Kanban and the seven wastes to streamline flow and remove non-value-adding steps within the DMAIC framework.

    Pricing

How much does Green Belt training cost in Hong Kong?

Training fees in Hong Kong vary by format, schedule and whether you train as an individual or a team, so the price is available on request. Request a quote and a learning advisor will share current options for live online, classroom and corporate delivery.

What is included in the course fee?

The training fee typically includes instructor-led sessions, courseware aligned to the IASSC Body of Knowledge, practice questions, mock exams, quizzes and learner support, plus a course completion certificate. Ask us for the inclusions in your chosen plan.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. The Green Belt exam voucher is billed separately by the certifying body in US dollars under regional pricing, so it is not part of the training fee. Confirm the current voucher price when you book your exam.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for quality, operations and transformation teams. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    Exam

What is the format of the IASSC Green Belt exam?

The Green Belt exam is closed book with 100 questions in a mix of multiple-choice and true or false formats. Some forms include up to 10 additional unscored questions. You have three hours to complete it, with questions spread evenly across the five DMAIC phases.

What is the passing score for the Green Belt exam?

You need a minimum of 385 points out of 550 to pass. Because the questions are spread across all five DMAIC phases, the safest approach is broad mastery rather than focusing on a single phase.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 100 questions and a three-hour time limit. Some exam forms add up to 10 unscored pretest questions that do not count towards your result.

Are there any prerequisites to sit the exam?

No. There are no formal education, experience or training prerequisites to sit the Green Belt exam. Training and real-world project experience are recommended to prepare, but they are not mandatory.

What happens if I do not pass the first time?

You can prepare and retake the exam, and our mock exams and trainer support are designed to get you ready for a confident first attempt. Confirm current retake voucher pricing with the certifying body when you rebook.

    How is the exam delivered?

The exam is delivered through online proctoring on a web-based system available around the clock, or at one of the PearsonVUE test centres available across many countries. You choose the option that suits you when you book.

The programme totals 32 hours of instructor-led training, delivered across flexible schedules such as intensive full days or extended part-day sessions to fit working professionals.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the exam format, helping you identify weak areas and build readiness before the real paper.
