Is there an exam for Lean Manufacturing Training?

No. This is a non-certification course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Lean tool exercises, waste identification activities, case examples and group discussion during the programme.

How is my learning assessed?

There is no formal assessment. You apply Lean tools to realistic manufacturing scenarios throughout the course, including a waste walk, value stream mapping, a 5S assessment and an OEE calculation, so you practise the skills as you learn them.

What will I receive on completion?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning confirming you have completed the one-day programme. It is not an external certification, as this is a practical skills course rather than a credential.

Will I be able to apply Lean at work straight away?

Yes. The skills are immediately applicable. After the course you can run a waste walk, facilitate a value stream mapping session, implement 5S, design a Kanban pull system, calculate OEE and lead Kaizen improvements in your own operation.

How long is the training?

The programme runs for one day (8 hours) and can also be delivered as two half-day sessions. It covers Lean foundations, the eight wastes, VSM, 5S, pull systems, JIT, TPM and OEE, standard work, SMED and Kaizen, with exercises throughout.

What topics are covered in Lean Manufacturing Training?

The course covers the Toyota Production System and five Lean principles, the eight wastes (DOWNTIME), value stream mapping, 5S and visual management, pull systems and Kanban, Just-in-Time, TPM and OEE, standard work, SMED quick changeover, Heijunka, Poka Yoke and building a Kaizen culture.

What hands-on exercises are included?

You take part in a Gemba waste walk, value stream data collection, a 5S workplace assessment, an OEE calculation and a Kanban quantity exercise, applying each Lean tool to realistic production scenarios during the day.

Does the course cover 5S, Kanban and OEE?

Yes. You learn to apply 5S and visual management, design Kanban pull systems and Just-in-Time flow, and calculate Overall Equipment Effectiveness as part of Total Productive Maintenance, alongside the wider Lean toolkit.

Is the course relevant beyond manufacturing?

Yes. While the focus is manufacturing, the principles and many tools, such as 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping and waste elimination, apply to logistics, operations and service environments across Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.

You receive structured courseware and Lean tool references covering the full methodology, plus the exercise materials used during the hands-on activities. The materials support you in applying the tools after the programme.
